Breed: Golden Retriever / Vizsla
Keeper was found running across a highway as I braked to miss her. She tried to hide in some leaves when I rescued her. She was only about six weeks old. After a fruitless search for an owner, she was brought home with intentions of finding her a home. Our vet aptly named her Keeper, and she's been a total joy. She loves to bounce across the floor to fetch. She entertains herself and adores belly-rubs. She must have always been outside, because she knows what grass is for, and was immediately housebroken. She loves everyone she meets. Sometimes I think she was just dropped from the sky into my lap and she was meant to be mine. She's five now, but I treasure these pup pictures.

Pup in a pot! Great. I rescued 3 pups similar tot his that someone had dropped off at a dempsey dumpster. They made 3 families very happy! Thanks for rescuing her and giving her a home she so rightly deserves!

Rescuing is the best way to find your best friend! Since we have a rescue pup I can't imagine getting one in the future any other way. So MANY need homes!

Those blue eyes and that pink nose -- mixed breed she may be, but I'm seeing a LOT of Nova Scotia Duck-Tolling Retriever in her. She's gorgeous!
I love foundlings! I have cat that came into my life the same way and she absolutely rules the house in the best way. Keeper is a sweetheart.

Keeper is just that... a keeper. A special little pup for a special lady who saved her life.
This is the fourth puppy that has prompted me to write you to ask if our Humane Society(Vero Beach, FL) could use her picture in a future quarterly newsletter, the Humane Times. I am always seeking pics that we can keep on file to use when needed.
If you would consider sharing the picture of Keeper in the planter with little Miss Duck, I would so appreciate it. I can see this picture in a spring issue. If you say yes (and I hope you will) could you email the at specific picture to me? It will be of better resolution than my downloading it from the website....and I would never use your picture without your permission.

I am usually a complete Cavalier King Charles puppy devotee but I have to say that Keeper is one of the cutest puppies I've ever seen in my life!!!
