Kylie's mom says: My husband is in Iraq right now and isn't supposed to be back for another 16 to 18 months, so he bought Kylie for me for my birthday. She is a liver spotted dalmatian, which means her spots are dark brown, and she has two blue eyes. She is catching on to potty training really fast and is getting along great with my mom's dog, Pookie, a Chug (pug / Chihuahua mix). She love to give kisses and occasionally bite your toes. Kylie is a little sweetie and just loves me to death. She wants to spend every moment with me, which is just what I needed for my husband's deployment. I'm looking forward to many happy years with my new Kylie Boo.

Kylie touches my heart. I had a Dalmatian for 14 years, and she was such a love, and so devoted. She (my Justice) also had blue eyes, but she had black spots because she was from mixed black-spotted/liver-spotted parentage. Give your Kylie a big kiss from me. I would give anything to be picking those white dal hairs off everything I own again!

Kylie HAS to be the most adorable Dalmation I have EVER seen! She looks so soft and cuddly! She will be very helpful during your husband's deployment. I wouldn't have made it during my husband's deployments without our five fabulous pooches! Good luck and God Bless you all.

Ugh, my god she is just too beautiful!!!!! Truly, TRULY the most perfect little puppy I've ever seen!!!!!! Dalmatians sometimes get a bad rep, but I knew one growing up and he was the sweetest, most lively and happy elegant gentlemen ever:) Your precious Kylie is a gift from heaven, a little angel to watch over you while your sweetheart is away, how touching!!! She is so beautiful. I am a dalmatian fanatic, having owned several over my lifetime. I've had a liver as part of our family before, though his eyes were yellow! I've also had a "pumpkin" coloured female...currently we are lucky enough to have "Mulligan" as part part of our family (12 years old) and are expecting the birth of our newest addition to take place in January...seeing Kylies pics make it hard to wait!

A comment about the he/she thing: I find that most people refer to other dogs with the gender of dogs they have had. My dogs have all been males so every time I see another dog, my tendency is to refer to the dog as a "he". It means nothing in the grand scheme of things and the dogs don't care. : D

My brother rescued a 8 week old dalmation puppy he found on the net--her name is Perdita ( from 101 Dalmations). She is black & white, but obviously pure Dal. She had been found on the street, was in terrible shape when he got her, but is now a 55lb beautiful healthy 1 1/2 year old! Much thx for your husband for serving---my stepson is in the Navy, just assigned to a destroyer. We are proud of him.

What a perfect little dalmatian. Shes just beautiful! One of my grandpuppies is a dalmatian, so I'm kind of partial to them.
This is my little girl! Thought I'd write my own comment about her:) She's now at 9 weeks and 5 days old. She has filled out a lot more since these pics and has grown another 3-4 inches tall. She's taller than Pookie now and can put up a good fight when they wrestle :P She can sit, shake, lay down, roll over, she's 100% potty trained and walks nicely on a leash. Not bad for only 10 weeks old! She's been very good about keeping me busy since my husband has gone overseas. Anyways, she's beautiful and I love her to death! She's the sweetest little girl ever!

It was nearly impossible to choose a favorite as she's just a beautiful, sweet looking wonderpup. Ultimately, I had to go with the one that best showed off her blue eyes, since I have a soft spot for blue eyed fur-babies.

KimmySue, she's a devilishly cute puppy. I do caution you to make an extra special effort to socialize her with men, as she'll grow to adulthood with your husband absent and that would pose a problem when he returns. Perhaps a dangerously big problem that could ruin your marriage or result in the turfing of your dear dalmatian. Either way, outcomes fervently to be avoided. So take the time now, while she's young and easily impressionable, to socialize her for extended periods with males as well as females and children, too. Hanging out at your family's homes, if nearby, shopping malls, sidewalk events - anything to introduce her to the concept of allowable attention from strangers will go a very long ways towards the prevention of problems when your hubby returns.

oh how I LOVE curious puppies! Her droopy, sleepy face is just too much! There is nothing better than a pup to help take the blues away. She's a strong girl to be able to help mommy while daddy is away, but her bigger job has yet to come when dad comes home. I'm sure she'll do an exceptional job and I can tell she's a happy pup. Kylie is the epitome of puppy- sweet, beautiful, clumsy and curious about EVERYTHING! Also, congrats to mommy for all the progress in just 10 weeks! give her lots of biscuts just for her progress. I can't stand it she is so darned cute, and she sure is a ham for the camera! Tell your husband I said thank you for his service and his sacrifice, and to pass the word on to his buddies over there. Kylie is adorable! I had a Dal growing up and he was the best dog ever. He was given to us after a career in the Show Ring. When I was able to have my own dog as an adult I wanted a Dal but was given a Black Lab and have been hooked on that breed ever since but still think Dals are beautiful, gentle dogs. Mom never worried about us when "King" was in the yard with us - he protected us and loved us. How thoughtful of your husband to give you Kylie.
My prayers are with him for his safe return and know that his sacrifice is appreciated. (I am retired Navy.) Lots of belly rubs, kisses and biscuits for Kylie!

My husband and I got a jack russell right before he left for a long deployment also! Amazing how dogs can lift our spirits!! From one military wife to another, hang in there. Your husband is in our prayers.
Who cares about whether or not she's purebred? People always gotta be rainin' on someone else's parade.
Anyhow, this is a SUPER adorable puppy. I've always had a thing for dogs with brown rather than black markings and a thing for doggies with blue eyes. SO PRETTY! I'm totally jealous and hope to find a dog as cute and sweet as yours!
