Breed: Siberian Husky
I first picked up Loki when he was three and a half pounds. He is now 45 pounds and still growing! Loki has a very loving, goofy, and mischievous personality. He likes to spend his time playing with my Lab mix, Lilly, destroying toys, playing in the water and snow, and learning new tricks to get treats. He is a very good dog and a great companion.

He looks like he's standing guard!! lol Yes minkiesmum, hair everywhere. I had a Huskie/wolf & Huskie/Malute. When they "change" coats, they look like old wolves in the forest. Loki is soooo cute! Tons of biscuits for him.

Instead of Loki he should have been called Gene Simmons. His facial markings are really cool but a little intimidating.

Molt is not the word for what they do :) They call it "blowing their coat" for a reason. Not that I'm complaining - I grew up with Huskies and my parent still have two (and my Shiba Inu isn't exactly light on the shedding either and it is that time of year).
And to the person in Texas who would like a Husky but isn't sure of the weather? I'm in Dallas and I have a co-worker who has several Huskies he got from a rescue organization. And I have a friend down in San Antonio who also has a Husky (and we lived in San Antonio when I was a child and we had our first Husky). As long as you take care not to leave them outside too long, especially in the heat of the day, and make sure they have plenty of water when they do come in from the heat, they're fine.
