I agree with the "so ugly they're cute" assessment, b/c pugs aren't "conventionally" cute, but they're still quite adorable, particularly their surfeit of "dog-a-nality." (I've come to learn this only as my best friend has been researching pugs in anticipation of acquiring one.

I'm assuming that iLOVEdawgs was being facetious; Lola's eyes are exactly what a pug's should eye's should be, even if that does encompass exothalmus.

"Conventionally" cute is relative, just as any opinion is. I think Pugs are one of the cutest breeds ever! I have a black Pug named Lola and a French Bulldog named Mushi. I am a big fan of smooshed-face, also known as brachiocephalic, dogs. Because their snouts are shorter than most other breeds', they more closely resemble us humans, which makes us feel naturally drawn to them!

"japanese spitz luver" & "iLOVEdawgs" , jealous much??? Lola is ADORABLE & I'm not even a small dog fan! She has so much personality & chutzpah that you HAVE to love her. I bet she is a GREAT cuddler, the little cutie pie!!!
