Breed: American Pit Bull Terrier / Labrador Retriever
Lucy is one of the sweetest puppies you'll ever meet. She was abandoned at the humane society where the volunteers guess she was eight weeks old. We aren't sure what she is, but she loves to fetch like a Lab and has the confident strut of an American pit bull. Now she is 11 weeks old. She just found her voice and loves using it to get me to play with her. Every day she gets bigger and bigger...who knows how big she'll get.

We have a rescue mixed breed Lucy in my daughter's family. She's red and white where this Lucy is black and white. They are the sweetest dogs, these rescue pups!

Hi, your Lucy is precious. My neighbor has a Border Collie and Lucy looks just like it in the face. I own a mix breed dog also and when I bought mine they told me she would weight 12 lbs, she now weights 42 lbs. We love her to pieces, best dog we ever had. Best of luck with Lucy...........

She looks like she might be part border collie...you could always have her DNA tested in the USA for about $100...it might be neat to see what she has in her, and might explain some of her behavior if she has interesting traits :)

I have a Lucy, too, and if your Lucy is anything like mine, she'll be the love of your life. My Lucy is mostly Lab (yellow, though), and your Lucy has some of the same facial features. I also see the APBT--my brother has one of those, and he's a sweetie, too. I also think I see some shepherd. Whatever else she is, Lucy is adorable!

She looks very much like my Rosie did as a pup, and you found her the same way! I have a picture just like this even! As a now three year old, the only breed I'm sure of in her mix is border collie, though I have people tell me all the time she looks part pit bull. We run agility now, and under breed, she listed as an All-American Pound Puppy. May you enjoy many happy years with your pound puppy too!

What an adorable little girl! Definitely a resemblance to my Stella! But you never know, do you? If she is a pit/lab, my suggestion is train, train, train! Puppy kindergarten, Basic & Advanced Obedience. ASAP. Stella is 1 and STILL acts like a 63-lb puppy. Not so nice to other (larger) dogs any more, but loves all humans and is so sweet and cuddly after she's gotten her play in. They are SO worth it. Congratulations!
