Puppy Breed: Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

Madeleine's mom says: Miss Madeleine is our very new member of the family. She has been in our home for three weeks and has stolen our hearts. She loves people so much and loves to cuddle. After our little Yorkie aged 14 died in June, we did not think we would ever get another pet. But now we could not imagine being without her.

Thank you for the lovely comments. I really researched before getting her to make sure I bought her from a good breeder who cares about the health of the breed. She does need a lot of attention and I am lucky that my husband is home most of the day even though I still work full time.

Miss Madelaine is an a lovely lady, in deed!

She is probably the most gorgeous CKCS I have ever seen, literally! Those ears of hers are perfect! I love her name too! Its hard to move on and bring yourself to get another animal when one who was so close to you dies, but once you do you never regret it! Thanks for sharing her with us!

I'm sorry to hear about your Yorkie -- mine is about that age and we are facing her last trip to the vet in the near future... I'm so glad you let yourself get Miss Madeleine! She is absolutely perfect, and while no puppy replaces another, they sure help us move on :-)

So serious and yet still so sweet. I am not a KC owner, but I admire the ones in my neighborhood. They are always friendly and alert and walk with such a happy pep in their step. Enjoy your new baby girl and the new year!

She must be the sweetest puppy in the world!. My Gidget was 9 months old when I got her, so I never got to experience the sweetness of a tiny CKCS. Kudos on your research before adopting her. Many years of furry fun.

How adorable! I also have a 1 and 1/2 year old male cavalier named Charlie. He is the same color as Madeleine. Such a lover and cuddler. I hear they stay perpetual puppies. Charlie is the first one I've ever had, I wanted one for years, Am so glad I got a Cavalier, everything they say about them has come true. The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is a Fantastic Breed!

i wanted to buy a CKC but he was a pure breed and the pet shop was by our house and we went to see him alot and i named Charlie and then after we went to see him a few more times and then i went in the store one day and some lady had bought him for 1,500 i've wanted one since could you tell me where you got Madeleine?

I can't believe it's taking this long for me to comment... I LOVE her so much! I keep thinking about her sweet little face and looking into those big brown eyes... so precious! And attacking that toy that's bigger than her head... too silly!

Madeleine, is a sweetie. We have a tricolour, but our first CKC was the spit of Madeleine. You won't find a more loyal and loving pet. I know it's hard to move on when you lose a pet, but she will fill your days with love and affection. Have a wonderful life with her. She is very beautiful.

Your Madeleine is just beautiful!! What a precious face. I too had a 14 year old Yorkie named Kizzy who passed away. I believe that part of me went with her, but at the time had 2 rescued dogs that required special care due to their health needs. I believe that responsibility helped me through the grieving. Isn't it amazing how these little babies can bring such joy?

I hope you and Madeleine enjoy a very blessed life.
