Maggie's mom says: Maggie has been the light of our family for the last eight weeks -- a great addition to Abby, our 12-year-old collie. Our ten-year-old son saw a couple of miniature dachshunds last Halloween and, falling in love with them, wanted to know everything he could about the breed. We decided to pursue this and by Christmas we were totally hooked. That's when sweet Maggie came home. She has been snuggly, smart, and playful. In addition, she has been easy to train and very intelligent. She loves chewing and fetching her toys and has been very happy playing in the snow. Our children (and friends) have been very engaged with her and have been having fun entertaining her. Bottom line -- she is a joy!

I love Mini dachsies. We have a 13 year old in our house and he is wonderful. I love the photos of your baby girl.... she is gorgeous. Enjoy! ( i love the flying ear photo -- those ears are wonderful).

I never thought I would be the dachshund type, but the more I see of these little loveys, the more I REALLY want one! She's absolutely darling! She's also very lucky to be in such a loving home.

What a gorgeous little Dachshund! I wanted one before we were blessed with a golden mix stray we found so we decided not to get one. I still want one! (We also have a Beagle- 3 might be a handful!) I definitely want one like Maggie!

A MINI daschund? So, basically, what you are saying is that you want me dead where I sit. I mean, how am I supposed to handle that? You go and take one of the most squeal-worthy dogs in the universe, and then you freakin' SHRINK IT?? Good game, world, but it's all over for me.

Maggie is a real beauty. I wish I had one like her. I have 1 red male, 1 red double dapple female, 1 red female and 1 chocolate & tan female(carries long hair). they are the love of my life, except for my husband.

No offense, precious Maggie but a word of caution: While the dachshund is my all-time fav breed, the puppies are from hell. Better to research the breed before buying and better yet, get a rescued dachshund and bypass the puppy stage. Your reward will be 100-fold. I'm on my 7th doxie treasure! :-)

We just lost our 16 yr.old short haired, Mattie, in January. She had been the constant companion of our long hair, Schnitzel, who passed 3 years ago. Seeing Maggie brought back wonderful memories of their litters totally 27 puppies! Enjoy your beautiful baby for many years! Ours provided lots of love and laughs!

I have a short haired named Maggie. She is the love of my life and very spoiled. She is so precious with the schnauzer puppies my grandchildren got for Christmas. "Maggie" is the cutest puppy, ever. I have a longhaired mini dachshund, female, 3 year old. "Belle" is red with some black and white dappling. She has been attached to my hip since I received her at eight weeks old. My son gave her to me as a Christmas gift. She doesn't play with the usual dog toys but thinks the cat is her toy. I just don't know what I would do without my wonderful girl. I am sure your baby girl will give you much love and joy over the years.

Maggie is just beautiful! I purchased a mini dox that looked exactly like Maggie and after 2 weeks of being home, he was so sick with a parasite, we had to let him go. Our little guy, Hershey, was only with us for two weeks but he stole my heart. Enjoy Maggie to the fullest, and by reading, I think you and your family have found a loving family member in Maggie.

Maggie reminds us of our dog Smokey. We got him 2 yrs ago and he has been the light of our lives. He looks just like Maggie. In fact when I showed the hubby her pic he asked how I got pics of Smokey on there. Smokey's favorite toy is a rock. Yes, I said a rock. He carries it around the house and pushes it with his nose and waits until we are not paying attention to him and puts it under the couch. Gee someone has to get up and get it out for him. He has even picked up other rocks when we are out walking; thinking that I will pick it up and bring it home for him.

Maggie is such a cutie and I hope you enjoy her as much as we enjoy our Smokey.

Maggie is one beautiful dachshund puppy, she reminds me of mine that I had. Dutchess (she was born in Germany) was 17 but the best dachshund there could ever have been. Maggie has the perfect markings of a red long hair and her "feathers" will come as she matures. Brush her daily and she will be easier to comb as she gets older and her hair starts to grow. Enjoy this little bundle of joy for a VERY LONG TIME and may she give you as much love as you give her. She is adorable and brings back many good memories of mine.
