I love GP's more and more everytime I see them. It began with my favorite childhood cartoon, Belle and Sebastian. Im thinkin that when I have the room for a big dog, that it will be a Great Pyrenees.

McComb looks sublimely happy, there is no happier dog than a working dog. Feel proud that you are able to give him the life every dog dreams of. McComb you were a beautiful puppy and I bet you are a stunning dog today! Kisses to you McComb and thanks to your mommy for sharing you with us today!

I didn't know what a Great Pyrenees was until a friend told me how much she liked them- I had to check them out, and they are beautiful dogs! However, I have to agree, McComb is absolutely gorgeous!

I particularly like this grown-up photo of McComb guarding a couple of lambs.

McComb, you are 100 pounds of sweet guardian fluff. There is nothing sweeter than a canine protector. You guard lambs? Interesting. Do you know what that means? That means that you are SUPER DUPER MEGA ADORABLE. Seriously, the mental pictures I get of you and lambs together is insanely adorable. In fact, I would say that you are "ADORABLE!!!!111!!" (the one's denote excitement).

McComb is one handsome boy! He's truly beautiful and, based on the Flickr page, loves his working life. There's something so calm about him...

He is georgeous! A friend of mine has 5 Great White Pyreness guarding his sheep at his bed and breakfast in upstate NY. My 10 year old daughter is crazy about them all. They are great guard dogs and gentle giants.

Finally! A Pyrenees! My favorite! He is an absolute doll! Give him an extra bone from me!

Once when I was 16, my family and I were coming back from a vacation in Florida... When we were driving on the highway, my mother caught sight of a GIANT white furball on the side of the road. She made my dad pull over and back-up on the shoulder of the highway so she could get out and investigate. What we found was a very dirty, but very healthy looking Great Pyrenees. We called to him and he obediently came to us. He jumped right into the car when we prompted him and seemed so happy to be out of the heat. We named him Falcor after the big white luck dragon in the Neverending Story movies and fell in love right away. Unfortunately, we were still a LONG way from home, and my father ultimately decided that we had to take him to a dog shelter. My mom and I were devastated at losing our new friend so soon, but we have prayed ever since that he ended up in a good home. Seeing Great Pyrenees dogs on this sight always makes us a little heartsick over our Falcor, but at the same time it's good to see other gentle giants in good homes. Your dog is beautiful -- love him for us :-)

McComb is beautiful! He is a bit unusual-looking for a Great Pyrenees -- he looks a bit like a Maremma sheepdog. His eyes are amazing.

I just love this dog as a pup and as a grownup (Flickr)! In the shot where he is lying on the grass he looks so dreamy, like he has the sky in his eyes. I made it the background on my desktop, because we all need to dream more.
Plus I am intrigued my the shot of him on Flickr where he is hiding under the trough to avoid the sheep. The phase when he transitioned to being "in charge" must have been interesting!
Anyway, what a gentle beauty. As others have pointed out, McComb is so lucky to live in such a beautiful pastoral place doing what he was bred to do.
Luv him....11111 biscuits!

He is absolutely gorgeous! I had to say the sad goodbye to my Pyr at age 13 in January 2005. Since then I helped sponsor adoption of 2 Pyrs from a rescue group to my area, they've now moved to mainland. I'm on Big Island of Hawaii, and with our quarantine laws, I've not found a way to get another Pyr. If you are aware of any reputable breeders or rescue groups that may be willing to work with me to satisfy our 4 month quarantine laws, please let me know, or let them know about me.....I wish I could hug your boy. enjoy every pyrfect moment with him.
