Moki's parents say: Moki is our first puppy, though we both grew up around dogs. As such, everything about her is a learning experience, from sleepless nights to training to social integration with our opinionated, stubborn cats. Despite the extra work, she's been a joy and we couldn't ask for a better first puppy. She's playful, rambunctious, and funny in her own awkward way. We've not even cracked the one-week milestone and it's already clear that she's excited to see us in the morning and after we get home from work. Hopefully I can add "sleeps through the night" to that list in the near future. (Wishful thinking, I'm sure.)

I absolutely adore corgis in every way. I can't wait to get a puppy of my own. It takes a little bit to get them to sleep thru the night
What I love the most about corgi is their bright eyes! they radiate trust, intelligence and naivety as the same time ...
She is so cute I want to die!! This makes me want a corgie even more then I already did, and Mokie is such an adorable name.

Moki is the sweetest! Her personality shines thru in all the photos. Luv the ones of her asleep by the food bowl - a true pup! Have great times with Moki.

My sister has a Cardigan Corgi, and his name is Duncan...He just hates it when we talk long distance on the phone. She lives in Vancouver and I live in Ontario. He makes all kinds of noises and acts up...He is quite the little guy, and a quick learner. He has my sister right around his paw... She failed obedience school twice, because he is so cute.. she can`t say no...Is he spoiled??? You bet...and he is so loving, they just love him to pieces...
We've a Corgi and I'd have many, many more! They have the best disposition and personality! Enjoy yours--I'm sure you'll have years of sweetness and laughter with her!

What a cutie pie!!!!! If you've never had a Corgi before, you're going to love it! I have two Pembrokes and a Cardigan and they are the most wonderful dogs! All are rescues and service or therapy dogs. Congrats on your new addition. Can't wait to see pics as Moki grows up!

OH. MY GOD. Stubby legs, huge ears! I know these sites try not to "steal" from each other, but this baby belongs on Cute Overload!! Gorgeous coloring, I'd love to see what she looks like all grown up! You must send in pictures to grown-up puppy of the day when she's older.

I have a corgi and you couldn't have picked a better breed! They are so loving and sweet. He loves to be brushed, lives for fetch, and you can really get that back leg going if you find that special spot when you scratch!! I envy you all the years of joy with Moki! He's too cute for words!!

One of the things that has worked great for me in the past for getting puppies to sleep through the night is putting a hot water-bottle (wrapped in a towel or pillowcase...pillowcases seem to work better because a little more of the warmth comes through and because the puppy is less apt to chew on it) in the crate with her. Puppies are used to sleeping with their littermates, and the lack of that puppy warmth makes it difficult for them to sleep through the night...so a hot water-bottle works great! A lot of times the puppy will cuddle with or even lay half on top of the hot water-bottle, just like they do with his/her littermates. Good luck!

OMG! What an absolute doll baby! Don't think I have seen anything cuter since my sister pups were babies and we were hand feeding them!They were all of 8 days old then and are now a little over 2 1/2 years! I haven't seen much of corgies but she takes the Grand Prize in looks and hope to some day see a picture of her all grown up! As for the sleepless nights? This, too, shall pass. I think you two did really good for a first pup!

Your little Moki is one of the cutest pups...and I am sooo in the market for a little Corgi puppy. I also love to read all of the comments other Corgi "guardians" have about the Corgi personality. I am now so convinced that I will have one one day soon. I also have 3 kitties (2 orange tabby and 2 Norwegian Forest cats) so I am very much interested in how Moki gets along with your "opinionated" kitties. Without a doubt, the Welsh Pembroke Corgi is my very favorite breed of dog, and I have owned many, many differnet breeds. Here are some photos of my Corgi, "Quincy". This photo was taken when he was about eight weeks old: http://www.pbase.com /willa/...

He is most definitely a weather-proof, herding dog, who prefers to be outdoors guarding the yard. Make sure you teach your Corgi puppy very early NOT to nip at people's heels. This is a herding thing. If you are strict about this, you will ony have to correct the dog a couple of times. It is their nature to nip, but they CAN control it. Corgi's are very bossy, but my little guy gets along very well with his three other 'brothers', a Shih Tzu, Chihuahua, and Lab/Shepard mix, as well as our kitty, Lily. Also, make sure he has chew toys available at all times. Corgis tend to get chubby, so exercise is very important for them, the same way it is important for us.

Corgi's are so cute! I love their ears; look like Yoda, they do. Do corgi's have good temperaments?
Corgies are horrible. All they do is BARK and shed. You can forget about having a clean house, or a peaceful life. These are the worst dogs ever. I am an animal lover, but Corgies are simply useless and disgusting crap-shedding-barking machines.
