Monty's mom says: From the first time we saw Monty in the litter, we connected with him. He endeared himself to my sister by crawling into her lap and falling asleep. Monty possesses a life-long passion for tennis balls, and he learned to play fetch within a matter of weeks. He is also very cheeky; he pulls my brothers socks off under the table and then runs away with them. However, he is always friendly. When one of us comes home, he wags his tail so hard that it almost falls off. Monty, we all love you very much!

I have had a ton of black labs in my life. Recently I had a momma lab wander up tomy place in the country (a drop off) and she had 7 beautiful healthy pups 48 hours after arriving. This looks like so many of the ones I had. all but one has been adopted and momma is going to be looked at and tested for a search and rescue dog next week. never knew playing fetch with a dog could save her life. Otherwize she probably have to be put down as so many black labs are in this country. I miss my foster babies ( i am working through a rescue group here in W.TN. so all the puppies are going out of state. You have made a great pick in a black lab or a black dog in general. Read the statistics and you have definately saved a life!!! God Bless. Beautful puppy!!!!
As a lifelong labbie owner, I must say Monty is adorable! I have two yellows now, but growing up we had a black lab, Bosco, who looked just like Monty when he was a puppy. Monty looks like a real sweetie- many treats to you Monty!!

First off, my condolences to Foofee's mom. I too lost my precious 14 yr old Westie baby to a stroke the end of Oct. and the tears have not stopped flowing since. But Monty, you help complete the cycle you pretty baby you. Love the hang dog look in this photo. We are not big Lab fans but the neighbor across the street has the sweetest smaller black Lab and she has become our surrogate dog. I know your family is going to love and spoil you over the years and you deserve it you adorable thing. Many cookies and hugs to you.

OMG! Those eyes could melt my heart! He's beautiful. His eyes are so expressive and his little tongue! LOL! He's just too much. Being a big LAB person, I find it hard to believe that so many people have written that they are NOT fans of Labs. I have to wonder why, as they are the PERFECT example of what a dog and friend should be. I'm proud of my two Lab sons. They are so smart, loyal, protective, funny, and beautiful. MONTY! you may be the highest rated Daily Puppy ever! I don't recall any puppy getting more than 10.82 biscuits, but I could be wrong! I would love to see a rundown someday , done by this website, as to highest rankings, but only, say, starting at 10.50 and going upwards, so as not to hurt the feelings of the under "10 1/2s".
Having said all that, I think what helped earn Monty such a high rating is just how simple and understated and ESSENTIAL all the pix of him are:

As a black lab mom for 30 years (wow, can't believe it's been that long), I have to say that labs rule. I love my german shephard nephew and my dalmation niece, but labs just pull at my heart.
My Cody passed away over 4 years ago, and Monty looks like Cody when he as a pup. Good luck with Monty and many years of love.

OH MY GOODNESS!!! Monty is beyond adorable. Having 4 labs myself, I assure you that the bond is lifelong, and Monty will be a wonderful member of the family for years and years. I just want to squeeze and cuddle him!!!!
While it may seem like it, I can assure you that Monty's tail will not fall off from wagging too hard! (might raise some welts on your shins but it will stay on) He's a little love muffin and now my heart has melted all over my keyboard.
This is one of those occasions when I wish I could give 12 biscuits! So instead of the 12th biscuit, I shall give him 20 belly rubs, 15 kisses on the nose, 10 ear scratches, and 5 snuggles!

What a sweet puppy. Our Yellow Lab is a lifelong tennis ball lover! When I had back surgery and needed a walker, he would always attack the tennis balls on the walker. It made me laugh during that rough time. Enjoy Monty!

Very cute puppy. I have 2 labs, Ben who is 9 and Diamond who is 4. They are both registered Therapy dogs and enjoy visiting people, Diamond actually thinks people exist for her so that they will pet her . I swear she was born with a tennis ball in her mouth. She will play fetch until she drops. Greatest dogs in the world. Labs rule. best of luck with your lab. This look is not a look of "i have done something wrong" It is definitely a look of mischeviousness, is that really a word? Great puppy enjoy and give lots and lots of hugs!!

What a handsome boy! Labs are just the best in my opinion. I have a Black Lab Female named Darcie and she is so much love and fun. Hope you have as much love and fun as I do. Lots of love and hugs. Couldn't pick a favorite pic.

Monty is gorgeous! Golden Labs seem to be dominating but I love the blacks! My Granda's dog was a black lab called Emma. I adore them and this one is beautiful! He looks really silky. You just want to pick him up and tickle his little belly. SO many breeds of dogs that I want lol!
I just say Monty on Potluck Puppies and had to look him up. He is an adorable puppy and I am sure he grew into a very handsome boy. Just a gorgeous dog and I had to leave a comment!
