Rowland's mom says: Rowland (Rollie for short) was 2 months old when we brought him home. My son calls him a "bundle of cute". He was named after F. Sherwood Rowland, a Nobel Prize winning Chemist. And he is REALLY SMART! He is also a bundle of energy, and goes full speed until he drops. He already has a "best friend" - Felix, the cat next door. Felix will come to our patio door and cry for Rollie to come out and play! The rule at home is: "Anything on the floor belongs to Rollie!" Items become new toys, tossed and chewed lovingly; or proud trophies paraded around the house. Rollie is the talk of the neighborhood and the park. While the Cardigan Corgi is more reserved ("Have we been introduced?"), Rollie is typical of the Pembroke - every new person he meets is greeted with enthusiasm ("Somebody new to pet me!") and a wiggling butt - no tail, you know!

Your son was being conservative -- what we have here is a truckload of cute! Any breed that's good enough for the Queen has got to be pretty special -- and Rowland certainly is. 11 biscuits.

The Pembroke Welsh Corgi is one of two of my favorite breeds (the Shetland Sheepdog is the other), and your Rollie is a perfect example of why I love them! He is beautiful and has personality plus! Many happy healthy years to a most handsome boy!

I couldn't choose between this pic or the Playgirl centerfold shot! :) I have always loved corgis but unfortunately have never met one in real life. Rollie is adorable and I just want to nuzzle those adorable ears. Enjoy him and maybe one day I will have a Corgi friend!

What a handsome little guy! Second Corgi in as many weeks (if my memory is correct) is turning me into a fan. Never really gave the breed much thought, but the last one was adorable and Rollie is just amazingly cute! That face is so expressive and just lit up with intelligence and goodwill...who could resist?

Rowland is sooooooooo cute...!! My son has Zoe, a female Pembroke Corgi and he is as cute and smart as she is...Such a lovey. I love the tail less Pembrokes!! Much happiness to you all.
Rollie is the cutest dog ever!!! And any dog who is best friends with a cat clearly has a great personality, too! Hmmm. . .I think I might be the human version of a Pembroke Welsh Corgi--any dog I see, I think "yay, someone new for me to pet!!"

There are two type of dogs that I really want to get....a Corgi is one of the two. I was so excited to see this handsome boy in my mailbox! He really is a beautiful pup and he looks like loads of fun for you. Congrats on the awesome puppy.

"Rowland is ready for his close-up Mr de Mille!" Goodness what a goodlooking pup. I'm a sucker for good ears on a puppy, and these are the top banana. Beautiful coat, beautiful eyes - and smart! Who could resist?!

What a beautiful boy! Every picture is stunning! A billion biscuits for Rollie, I have never seen a cuter pup.
I had to comment on this one! I never got to see my girl as a puppy - she is a rescue who came to me as an adult but your Rollie - with his off-center blaze makes me think this must have been what she looked like. He is beyond adorable! If he is half as michevious as his pictures and my experience suggest you will have your hands full. Enjoy! (I particularly love the "You aren't payng attention so I will look away and see if I can catch you looking at me" look in this pic)
I have been partial to Shih-tzus, but I think I may have to consider a Pembroke Corgi as my next pup down the road. Not only is Rollie cute, but you see the personality in his eyes. Many many happy years together! 11 biscuits and so many more.

Pardon me, but do you have any Poupon? Rollie is terrific! Oh it makes me miss my Eddie so much! I adore, adore, ADORE Pembroke Corgis! They are the sweetest most wonderful dogs ever. You are so lucky to have him, he will keep you amused and happy for a long time. A trillion million billion biscuits for him just because he's so dang cute! I wish I could rub his tummy right NOW!

Oh he is so precious!! My mom has a Corgi & I imagine he looked alot like Rollie as a puppy. She did not get him until he was over a year old so we have no puppy pictures!! I love the ears!! THey just make the breed that much more adorable!!

They are charmers -- it's from all that carrying around of faeries! ;) (Those who don't know, some corgis have lighter fur just around their front legs, coming up from their "arm pits" so to speak, because of a change in fur growth direction. but the Welsh say these are caused by faerie saddles -- once you've known a corgi, you will be enchanted too!

Picking a favorite picture of this little guy was hard, but this one shows his ears to their best advantage. I had a German Shepherd mix when I was young, and she was similarly all ears as a pup.
