We adopted Sadie from the Humane Society in Indiana. Her litter had been abandoned. We had to drive a ways to adopt her, but that drive was so worth it! She is a playful pup, but also loving and affectionate. She is also a smart little girl; she is potty trained already and understands several commands. Her shelter name was Gracie. So in honor of the Humane Society listing her on Petfinder so we could find her, we kept part of that name and named her Sadie Grace. We are thrilled Sadie is part of our family.

Sadie grace, I have so many things to say to you, first you are such a cute little girl, you are so lucky to have a mommy and daddy that wanted you. I just love all your pictures, but this one is just the best, when you sleep on your back you are showing your mommy and daddy that you trust them because your tummy is the part that all doggies protect the most. My little Sadie and Zoie both sleep on their backs too, they both snore though, I hope you don't LOL. MANY MANY happy years to you and your family Sadie, I just wish I could give you more than 11 cookies, you would get HUNDREDS. Lots of belly rubs and kiss's. Your so cute.

Gee, I had a dog way back when and he looked just like this puppy. Back then NO ONE went to breeders and EVERYONE went to the pound or took in a stray. His name was Tippy and I adored him. he lived till he was 17 and I was married by then! Your little girl reminds me of him so much. Love to him and many happy days with her. she is adorable!!

Sadie G is "da bomb". I have a shelter dog, bassett&corgi mix (I call him a "Corsett") and he is the most loyal and loving of the 5 fur babies. 1 mix breed,1 doxie and 2 Boxers. As much as I love my Boxers if I ever have another dog it will be another shelter baby,they deserve the best and my kids get the best of everything!!!!!!!!!!!!
What blessings you have received by adopting and saving her. She is a lucky girl to have joined such an obviously loving family. Enjoy her always, but be prepared she is a high energy dog and needs lots of exercise and mental stimulation as they are rated as the smartest breed. Sign her up for puppy classes right away and maybe Agility or Herding when she is old enough.
I forgot to tell you all that my shelter boy was over a year old when I got him and even though puppies are great please don't overlook the older ones!!!!!!

I have two Border Collie girls both who are 10 years old now and going strong. They were Indiana rescue BC's as well and my Isabella is a mix like Sadie only with the rough coat. Her facial features and markings are exactly like Sadie's. They are the most intellegent, intuitive and more than an little weird dogs you will ever have, and I would not have anything else. It's like living with quirky little furry people with lots of idiosyncrasies. Personally, I LOVE it. I think you will have many years of entertainment and great interaction with Sadie.

He looked so much like you & smart as a tack. There's web sites all over about commercial food. If I'm ever fortune enough to get a baby like you again thats what I'll do. You know, I'm always happy to see folks joyful after adopting a new pet, which is really a member of the family. Sadie Grace is a beautiful little dog with a really sweet face. I can tell she's loving by her eyes. I bet she doesn't object much to tummy rubs, either. :o) She look so soft and silky. I bet she shines in the sun.

Hey we have a puppy just like Sadie Grace and she was a stray too. Also, the humane society said she was a Border Collie Mix. She is really smart and she is only 5 1/2 months old!!!

need help to train a border collie/sheppard mix. she was abandoned , we adopted her at animal shelter. she is smart, fun, playful, & we love her dearly.! PROBLEM: if she gets loose , she goes deaf to commands. will not stop or come back untill she is exhausted . we took her for a 5 wk class. helped some on small things , but not on the major problems. running away...aggressive to other dogs,crying when left in car. HELP.!
