Breed: Siberian Husky
Shila is an Inuit name meaning flame. She is our little nine week old ball of fire. We rescued her from the New Mexico Siberian Husky Rescue after her pregnant mother was found wandering along the interstate. Her mother had five healthy puppies that have been placed in great homes.

OMG!! My heart nearly stopped when I saw Shila's BEAUTIFUL picture! I, too, was the mommy of a beautiful Husky. He came into my life one Christmas Eve and became the absolute love of my life. We were inseparable--where I went, he went...or I wouldn't go. Like Shila, he was an extraordinarily beautiful Husky with loads of personality. He even had a wicked sense of humor and a great voice! We would howl together, which my friend called "a howl-along". Thank heavens I recorded some of our vocal shenanigans. The saddest day of my life was that awful day 10 years, 2 months and 2 days ago when he went to heaven. He was the very air that I breathed and my heart is still broken. Shila, I wish you a wonderful life and all of the love in the world. You are truly magnificent.

I just realized you were the puppy of the day when I had grown up puppy of the day. I have a husky too - so it was perfect that they were matched. What a gorgeous pup - I love huskies.
Your Shila is a beautiful pup. My Shiyla was a b/w Siberian Husky with brown eyes too. She passed away last April after 14.5 years. I hope you have many many many happy and wonderful years with your Shila as I did with mine.
