Sprocket you are one cute puppy. You never know, your coloring just might turn lighter. I had a puppy that was dark like this and when she grew up she looked like a beautiful golden red retriever, except she had a black face.

I think the name Sprocket came from hearing a mechanic chasing down his Daschund. I'm a mechanical engineer and always liked the name. Some time in the future I'll probably have a dog named Cog as well.

Hi! Sprocked is beautiful! We got a dog from the pound last year and she looks very much like yours. We have been unable to determine what she is, but we have always felt she was more hound than anything else. We never saw her as a puppy and we would like to think she looked like Sprocket when she was little. Love the photos!

p.s. flea collars don't work well....try fronline or advantix....they work so well for ticks and mosquitoe's too! Definitley worth the extra money.

I have a dog that looks just like your dog. She is a Catahoula hound dog. Most Catahoulas have multicolored spots on them. However, my dog has the recessive trait you see in some of them where they are mostly black, but have brown on their legs, face, and have some white on the tips of some of their paws, and on their belly a little bit. I am pretty sure that is the breed of your dog.
