I freakin' LOVE basset hounds. They're like exaggerated beagles. Those ears are RIDICULOUS!! Maybe he'll grow into his tail and ears? Nah. Then he wouldn't be a basset hound! Too cute. Seriously the cutest dog I've seen on here thus far.

i have my own basset hound and he is so funny. this basset loks like mine when he was a puppy. i think thi basset is so cote and for an ida you can tie a ribbon on his back and take a picture of it chewing the ribbon off.

The Colonel is by far one of the cutest bassets I have ever seen! I have him as my desktop background he's so adorable! Every pic of him is so precious! My favorite is the 3rd one down - he just looks so happy. I'm sure he's huge by now - I wish bassets could just stay puppy-size forever!
P.S. - he has such an awesome name :)

What a doll!!! I've had the pleasure in my life of owning and loving two very special Bassets. I lost them both over time, but I'll never forget how special the bond I shared with them was. They were my best friends.
