I got Toby when he was eight weeks old and he has been such a joy. He's so sweet and cuddly and he likes to play outside and sniff anything he can. He is loyal and is always by my side. He's a fast learner, too. He's already house trained and can sit and even shake! He's really playful with other dogs and gets along great with kids. He does not like the water or loud noises one bit but he does love to play fetch. He likes to give lots of kisses!

My sister and late brother in law (golly, how I miss him) had a Beagle in the 80's and 90's named Snuggles (after the fabric softener) and she was extraordinary. She was so intent on chasing a rabbit on my dad's farm that she ran completely over another one which didn't move fast enough, and never even knew it was there. The rabbit was a bit stunned but unhurt. She lost the first one, too. Poor Snugs! LOL
That said, back to Toby. He has a really sweet face and expressive eyes. I hope he can keep his weight down because he'll be much healthier if he does. He looks great now and his coloring is superb. I'm sure Toby's a wonderful dog and is, and will be, a blessing to his human companions.
Toby, may God bless you with a great long life, good health and many joyful, sun-filled days of tearing around the yard at top speed, chasing something which cannot be hurt, of lying in your loved one's laps, sleeping and making those you love as happy as you are-

if you don't know Beagles they won't stay still outside long enough to have pics taken. My Beagle, Brody loves his fenced 3 acres to sniff around. If he gets out when we open the gate to drive our cars in he runs down the road having a sniff fest. Brody looks like Toby except he has 1 front brown paw which is his defining mark.

I agree with the comment above, Beagles will follow their nose to the ends of the earth, and do need to be securely restrained when outdoors. A fence isn't always available... don't be so quick to judge!

I left a comment this morning how shocked I am to see this little Love Bug on a chain(!), but The Daily Puppy eraized my comment! I love Toby, and I want him to have more appropriate leash, but obviestly, all I am allowed to say is how cute he is!

All puppies are cute but I've always thought beagles are among the cutest. If you look at the other pictures in his profile, I think you'll see that he doesn't spend much time at the end of that chain. His little bed looks pretty comfy.

Toby is sooooo adorable! He makes me remember my beagle Roary, who went to the rainbow bridge many years ago.When I got her as a puppy, she was the ultimate in puppy cuteness. Roary was an awesome companion/best friend to me for 15 1/2 years. I wish you at least as much enjoyment, love & long life as she had!
