After all 48 dogs were evaluated; the USDA gave permission to the rescuers to transfer the remaining 16 dogs who were not yet adopted. Three of those dogs were taken by rescue groups to the east coast and the other thirteen were loaded up in a rented RV and headed west with the Bad Rap team. This was by no means an easy mission. They also had to be very careful of their route and which towns they drove through, because many towns have breed specific legislation in place against pit bulls. After a long trek across country, with many stops lasting hours to insure all dogs got walked and relived themselves, the team finally made it to the San Francisco Bay Area.

I'm blown away by the extremes of what people do. Thank goodness we're not all bad and that some are angels.

The breed specific legislation (BSL) that made it dangerous to travel with these dogs exists not only in communities with breed bans, but also in homes and apartment complexes across the country. Countless Pit Bulls die without a chance to be adopted because of landlords who do not allow tenants to have them. If this discrimination could be alleviated, many, many more would be saved. USAA and Farmers are both Pit Bull friendly companies that offer homeowners insurance!

You guys did a really good thing. You could probably have used more help! The dogs look really happy on their big adventure- as if they'd never been abused at all! Just goes to show you the true nature of the bully dogs- another fine example of man's best friend.

thank god for wonderful and patient people like you for doing what needed to be done to give these dogs the lives they deserve. i'm an avid football fan and was absolutely disturbed at what vick did with his power and money(in which all of it could have been spent on a Charity). his life will never be the same as he will always be looked down upon for this but at least the lives of these wonderful dogs will be long happy ones thanks to you angels. God bless all of you!
