Meet Scout, the tumbly Golden Retriever pup from Nebraska. When she's not exploring and taking on any tennis ball that rolls her way, she's napping with her sister who lives just across town. At nine weeks, we're starting to master the simple things (like sitting, staying and learning her name) but going down a set of stairs is still a pretty scary challenge. Saturday morning cuddles are by far our favorite, but meeting our coworker pups (like Marv the Miniature Bull Terrier puppy!) is a close second.
My name is Ridley and I am a 9-week old apricot golden doodle. I get all the attention in the house - no children or other animals - so I keep my mom and dad rather busy. However, I am quite happy chasing empty water bottles - my favorite toy at the moment which thrills my mom! (She is a big recycler!) When I'm a good puppy and not terrorizing the house, I get the peanut butter filled Kong. But that's not happening much right now since well, I'm still a puppy, and I want to paw at, sniff, and eat EVERYTHING!
I brought Alex home at exactly 8 weeks old, on Christmas Eve 2008. A friend of mine has an uncle who lives down the street with his dog susie. Susie stays outside and had a litter of puppies. There is a golden retriever that has free run of the town and is frequently seen in the yard. He is probably the father. Susie is a chow mix and a sweetheart. Alex is 35 lbs at 5.5 months old and 2' 7" long. I'm guessing he'll be around 45-50 lbs at adulthood, and a little over 3' long.
Winston is an adorable rescue puppy that we got from a foster network in New Jersey when he was 9 weeks old. We were told that he was a Golden Retriever Lab mix puppies, but the older he gets, the less he looks like a lab and the more he looks like a Golden and Collie or Border Collie mix. Whatever he is, he is absolutely adorable and very smart!! He was house trained in 4 days and bell trained in 3 (he rings the bell by the front door when he has to go out). Two week after we got him, one of our friends accidently stepped on his little front leg and broke it so he had to have a cast on ...
