I'm Shyla, the "farm girl" puppy. My mother was a stray dog that had some type of retriever in her, and my new pack thinks that my dad was a border collie even though nobody has met him. When I was only 4 weeks old my mom stopped feeding my 5 brothers and I her milk. So, friends of my mom's human took me home and bottle fed me constantly. I am now 8 weeks old and love following my packmates around, barking at nothing, and laying on my back in strange positions on cool tile floors. I really enjoy learning new tricks, and I can't wait for puppy classes in a couple weeks! I ...
After our 13 year-old Lab Shepherd mix died, we wanted to get another dog to keep our younger dog company. We searched on PetFinder for just the right dog. Opal was not quite seven months old when we adopted her. We were actually Opal's second home. She had been adopted at four months and then returned to the shelter. She was so lovable, we knew she was ours as soon as we saw her. She is a bundle of energy, but is very smart. She is easy to train and we plan to start her on obedience training and then agility training.
Layla is our first puppy. She is a lab and border collie mix that came from a rescue in Ohio. She loves to roll around in the grass and chase the cats. Everyone falls in love with Layla as soon as they meet her! Even the cats are starting to become her friends.
Laika was rescued by her wonderful parents from the MaxFund no-kill shelter in CO.
She came to us at 8 weeks old and changed our lives forever.
Laika is a very social puppy with a great personality. She loves toys, sticks, tennis balls and treats.
We are currently doing obedience training and we plan to have Laika volunteer as a therapy dog when she gets older. She loves running, so we are going to start agility training, but just for fun.
