Mildred is a sassy ass beagle. She loves to frolic in the snow, chase squirrels and eat them in the park. Her favorite food is chocolate donuts. Now i understand chocolate kills dogs, but Mildred, she likes to live on the edge. She hails from Jacksonville Humane Society where I rescued her. She will be 3 years old on January 16th and is ready to booze it up for her 21st (3rd birthday).
Danny on Nov 21, 2010 got a home and family. He was lost or deserted. He was found and brought to Shady Creek Rescue in the hopes we can find a good home for Danny. He has a long body and wiggly tail. He may be part beagle. For more info www.shadycreekdogs.com/rescues.html He gets along well the other dogs here and people.
After our 13 year-old Lab Shepherd mix died, we wanted to get another dog to keep our younger dog company. We searched on PetFinder for just the right dog. Opal was not quite seven months old when we adopted her. We were actually Opal's second home. She had been adopted at four months and then returned to the shelter. She was so lovable, we knew she was ours as soon as we saw her. She is a bundle of energy, but is very smart. She is easy to train and we plan to start her on obedience training and then agility training.
I rescued Gambler only one week after my Cujo baby died. He was at the Humane Society for almost five months. Nobody seemed to want him, and I will never understand why, other than the fact that he was older, not yet neutered, had been treated for heartworm, doesn't much like kids...but he's so darn cute and sweet!!! He's a very smart and good boy who is one of the most affectionate dogs I've ever met. His favorite pass times are sniffing out cats and being a watchdog.
Lexi is a very playful, mischievous puppy. Very full of energy and joy. She has brought us lots of happiness. She lives with us North Carolina and loves to play out in the red dirt and turn her face orange. She loves to carry around stuffed animals that are double her size and rip the stuffing out of them till they are no more. She keeps our life interesting!
