Stella came to me by means of an ad in the local paper that read:
Free to good homes: Pure bread [sic] beagle puppies.
I almost named her Bagel, but I already know a beagle named Bagel... So, since I already have a nine-year old beagle named Astrolabe (known as Astro), Stella was an obvious choice. They're both stars.
We live in a tiny cottage looking out at the Green Mountains where Stella and Astro roam the garden, howl at the wind, snuggle on the sofa, and chew on everything. Despite a plethora of chew toys, they both ...
The Cutest Puppy
Dash is a Rottweiler/Beagle mix. She was named after Dash from the movie the Incredibles, because as a puppy she loved to "dash" around. Dash was the runt of her litter, and has grown to be about the size of a Beagle, with the coloring of the Rottweiler. She loves to play outside, go for walks, and hide her bone around the house. Dash is always there to greet you at the door with either a toy, ball, or bone in her mouth. Her tail is always wagging and she's constantly smiling.
I discovered Maisie through Petfinder.com and Dogs 2nd Chance, a local rescue, and I fell in love with her at first glance. She is a beautiful little girl, sweet, playful, and very affectionate. When I hold her she wraps her forelegs around my neck like a child.
This little one had been badly neglected by her former owners: she'd been left out in freezing temperatures last winter, and even shot at with a bb gun. Thankfully, a very kind neighbor took her in, fostered her, and now she is Jackie's beloved little sister.
