To be only nine weeks old,she is very alert and independent. When told no she lets you know what she thinks by jumping back and howling at you. She loves playing with her stuffed toys especially ones with squeakers.
I LOVE beagles! My husband and I were just discussing the what kind of dog to get when the time comes that large does dogs such as our lab, Keiko, become too much for us to handle. (You know, in our senior years.)
Please your a big hug from me please and slurps from Keiko!
We are not fond of really tiny dogs as many seem prone to multiple health issues and I've always found the many my parents have to be far to clingy and needy, and yappy! We are thinking of beagles as we've heard they are very playful, love to cuddle, but can also be trust alone in the house once fully trained. With all the appropriate toys to occupy them of course. If anyone can think of any other medium type breeds, who are not known for extensive health issues as a result of breeding, please feel free to PM me with your suggested. Long or short hair haired, doesn't matter, but one that maxes out between 30 and 50 pounds or so. Also, it MUST like living with cats.
Again, we are not looking at getting one for years yet, but any ideas you might have that we could ponder and look into for the future would be much appreciated.
Tha nk you in advance for any help anyone can offer. Cheers.
