When my dear friend Angel saw a picture of Jasper (Barney's Brother) she fell in love with Dachshunds and had to have one. When she found her little girl in North Carolina off her hubbie went to pick her up. Well that mommy fell so in love with her Doxie Shania that she decided to get her cousin and I decided to get her brother Barnabas, one so they could travel back together and two because I was believing he would be my first Therapy dog. He started training when he was 12 weeks old. His temperament and personality are angelic I have never seen a sweeter dog. Barnabas past his first CGC ( Canine Good Citizen) on July 8th 2007. He passed His Therapy dog test on Februay 2nd 2008 and is now a certified therapy dog for Therapy Dog International. Barnabas means "son of encouragement". I named him that because I believed he would bring encouragement to all who are blessed to know him.....and that is just what he does.
