Bella came to us a few days ago and she is adjusting very nicely. We had been discussing getting a new puppy because our 8 month old male German Shepherd Black Lab cross who has been experiencing some seperation anxiety when Ma and little Sister go to work and school. Well, Papa went out to get a bag of dog food a few days ago and came home with a new puppy after calling Ma first of course! Bella had been in a small pet store that mainly sold smaller dogs and despite her best efforts the poor lady didn't know what to do with her. We think she was not eating or drinking very well in her conditions and she also has a little cough. Papa has a big soft spot and she was only half price! Her transition into her new home as been rather easy, she is incredibly sweet and good natured and gentle. Her big brother is teaching her the ways of our pack and how things are done. He was a little jealous at first but really enjoys playing ball in the yard with her and has even learned to share his toys. They go for a walk to school every morning with Papa and Big Sis. It's a good thing she has a nice thick coat because it gets pretty cold in the winter here. She has already learned to sit for food and we are always potty training. Bella loves to climb! Papa came home one day to find her on top and two huge dog food bags that were on TOP of the large kennel and boy was she not happy! The pet store told us she liked to climb and they were right! She adjusting to the kennel at bed time nicely as big brother lays watching patiently and in only a few moments is snug asleep dreaming puppy dreams!! Her addition to the family has been great for everyone, we are already seeing improvements in the big puppy because he now has a job to do taking care of his little sister. We can't wait to watch her grow up big and see her personality unfold as she learns. We are thrilled to have her as the new addition to our family!!
