Bernie girl, originally named Bernhardt, was rescued from RED (Rescue Every Dog) in June of 2005. She was between 6 to 8 weeks old. Two months later, her best friend, Joey, was rescued from the Humane Society. Her best friend is a Golden Retriever mix. She is now 3-1/2 years old and still looks like a puppy. Bernie loves swimming and catching water from the hose. She also loves playing with her tennis balls. She loves to watch the animals on the Animal Planet channel and the funny dog clips on America's Funniest Home Videos. She loves to be hugged and get human kisses on her nose.
