Chachi

Miniature Schnauzer / Poodle
Male
No

This is Chachi, the Schnoodle. My sister, found him a few years ago at a breeder. She had gone to the breeder in Tyler, Texas with a friend and the friend's family. The family had ordered a puppy and was going to pick it out. My sister was just tagging along. Soon after they arrived, they picked out Ripley, a cute, gray, curly-haired pup, Chachi's step-brother. Just as they were about to leave, my sister spotted a blonde, straight-haired puppy, different from all the rest and bigger than the rest. An oddball. It was love at first sight. She started to ask the breeder lady about him. She told my sister that he was already two months old (explaining his size) because no one wanted him. Everyone wanted the "cute," "designer" puppies with curly hair. This confused my sister, as Chachi was the cutest dog she'd ever seen, much cuter than the rest. Seriously, look at that face and tell me he's not cute? Anyway, my sister called my dad saying, "Oh, my gosh, Dad! I found the CUTEST dog! We have to get him!" And he said yes! Now, if you knew my dad, you'd know that this was an historic moment. You see, my dad never said yes to anything, especially when my sister was asking, and especially since we already had two dogs, a cat, and two rats. Anyway, since Chachi was so "old," the breeder sold him to us for $100, as opposed to the regular $800 people pay for Scnoodles. He was a clearance puppy, like Marley in "Marley and Me." And it was the best $100 we've ever spent. Chachi is about four years old now, and the greatest dog I've ever known, and I've owned four dogs. He's soo smart; He knows eleven tricks, none of them special, but an accomplishment compared to my other dog Nacho's measley sit and shake (Love you Nacho! :). He loves car rides and we can ask him, "You wanna go for a ride?" and he'll jump up and bark and spin around. He does this thing where he'll get in Nacho's face and roll over onto Nacho's head. It annoys the heck out of Nacho. But Chachi's best buds with Nacho, and they chase each other and Nacho (being a Sheltie, a herding dog) bites Chachi's back legs while Chachi rolls on his back and bites Nacho's ears, his favorite target. He goes CRAZY after a bath, and he'll run laps around the house after he gets one, running into walls while trying to turn sharp corners at high speeds. He burrows in the covers, and attacks your hand when you scratch the bed sheets. He loves my fuzzy slippers, but he doesn't tear them up. He doesn't tear anything up, he never has. He just chews, and carries stuff around for show, as if he'll get a prize for fitting something twice his size in his mouth. He also loves to annoy our cat. She's a street cat that we took in as a kitten. She's old and grumpy now, and beats Chachi at all the play-fights, even though Chachi's bigger. He's such a wimp, getting beat up by a little old lady. He also loves to play this game where one of us will blow in his face or near him, even, and he'll snap at us and show his teeth, but he'll never actually come close enough to nip our faces; he knows the boundaries. He'll even snap before we blow, when we're sucking in air, getting ready to blow on him. It's soo cute. He has soo much energy, but knows when to be calm, so he makes a great lap dog, as well as a good playmate. He also makes a great snuggle buddy. He sleeps in the bed with me and loves to curl up close to my tummy. He's also very obedient, he does everything he's told... for the most part :). He's the love of my life and best dog anyone could ever ask for... My puppy is not for sale, clearly. But if you want to get a dog, consider a Scnoodle (after you "Opt to Adopt" of course!) Chachi has given my family and me the best four years of our lives, so far. We always say, "What would we do without Chachi?" We couldn't survive without him. Schnoodles are so smart and if any Scnoodle is anything like Chachi, it will make a great pet. Good luck and thanks for reading! ~Chachi's owner

you have written such a marvelous escription of Chachi !! Some of the things you describe are the same things my dogs do - like running around at high speeds after a bath and attacking your hand when you scratch the bed sheets. Sounds like Chachi has a wonderful life with your family and the other pets. Love the photo of him on the piano keys!!! Hugs from Memphis....
