All in the Family

Biography: Jack is our special little dog. He has a bit of a handicap with his hind legs. Don't feel sorry for him though. He most definitely doesn't feel sorry for himself. He has no problem running around the yard chasing and playing with our 2 other dogs. Sure, sometimes his hind legs start to run sideways and he'll roll and flip over, but he gets right back up and starts running again. Jack is actually short for Jackknife like when a big semi "jackknifes". We got jack from a pet shop. Nobody wanted him because of his handicap and the pet shop owners where just looking for a good home for him. Once we held him in our arms it was all over. Not sure where the words came from, but "we'll take him" somehow came out. Our veterinarian checked him out and said he's not in any pain and as long as he's happy just let him be. Even though he has that little handicap, he's quite a tough little guy. Jack is an inspiration to us all.
