Marley and I were the closest of companions for 15 years. She was the most wonderful gift I ever received and I have so many memories of our travels together. We swam in both oceans, climbed the Rockies, flew in airplanes, travelled by train, boats and loads of times on long car trips. Marley won the 'Golden Bone Award' for best at Puppy School, and was famous in Russia because she was a great singer to accompany my clarinet. I miss her love and affection terribly and she still appears in my dreams. In fact, other humans who knew and loved her say she sometimes visits them in dreams as well. She was a very special lady. Marley passed away on Mother's day 2002 at the age of 15 (of natural causes - age) and I held her in my arms for her last moments. She knew my current fur babies, Tia & Sasha, and taught them how to love with abandon. Marley was super smart, trusting, quiet, and sweet natured. She was the perfect friend. I know they say that dogs don't go to heaven, but I think I want to go where Marley is! We will snuggle again some day my angel; you, Tia, Shasha, and I.
