All in the Family

Poncho is one of the lucky dogs to be rescued from the terrible bushfires in Victoria, Australia. Juliet Moore leapt from a police helicopter into the flames to save her beloved dog Poncho as the firestorm struck Kinglake West. Ms Moore was being winched to safety by a helicopter as the firestorm struck. She had Poncho in her arms but he wriggled free in panic. Mrs Moore, 35, undid her harness and fell right back into into the maw of the inferno. "There was no way I was going to leave Poncho behind. She's my best friend," Ms Moore said. She grabbed Poncho, a kelpie-rottweiler cross, and jumped into car with a policeman who came down from the helicopter. The chopper pilot guided them from above to a little-used track. You can help these organisations which are caring for dogs injured in the fires.

OMG out of tragedy comes HOPE. Thank you for sharing this with all of us and I am so glad you rescued your beloved Poncho. Our pets mean so much to us and we just can't imagine life without them. When we watch those raging fires on the news we have to wonder how anyone would ever get out alive. God Bless You.
