Shelby's a nine+ year old rescue wire haired fox terrier who's been my best friend since I brought him home nearly nine years ago. Incredibly calm and sweet temperment, but also loves to play full tilt and has a genuine sense of humor. Has been a wonderful pet therapy dog in geriatric and hospice settings. Everyone thinks he looks like a stuffed animal, and I'm always stopped by people who want to meet him when we're out for a walk.He's kind enough to share his home and his dad with two other dogs, Abbey and Lucky. He displays great patience with people and other animals, even has several cats that he visits on our walks.Very smart, with an exceptionally large vocabulary of words/commands that he understands.
