Silas is a longhaired shaded english creme mini dachshund. Having never has a dog of my own before, I spent a lot of time shopping and researching to find out what the best dog for me would be. My husband and I finally settled upon the dachshund, and about 8 months later we saw Silas. Silas was the last puppy left from his litter, and I don't know why anyone would choose his brothers and sisters over him. I'm glad they didn't though, because he was able to become my puppy and I can't imagine any animal that would have been a better fit. Silas spends his days rolling in the yard and playing with my giant cat named Reef. Reef is over twice his size, but Silas knows no fear and the two of them have a great time running and tumbling around the house. I'm so happy to have such a great little boy as my first puppy ever!
