Tucker is a sweet old gentleman now. He was the runt of a litter of Husky/Shepherd pups and not in a very good place when we found him. It was our lucky day though. He takes care of everyone, keeps an eye on me constantly. He loves to chase squirrels and we can not say the word "walk" without him dancing around to let us know he's ready! He actually raised a kitten we found when she was only about 2 1/2 wks old. She probably wouldn't have survived without his constant attention. When she had a litter of kittens herself, he was ready and willing to do it all again! It took some convincing to show him mamacat really could manage. He still keeps a special eye on them and dashes over if he thinks anyone (i.e. the other dog) is messing with his cats!

He's beautiful!!!! i have a german shepherd malamute mix named tank. U cant say walk or he will start barking like crazy!!! if u through any thing at all he's after it like a bullet!!

Tank sounds a lot like Tucker when he was younger. "Walk" is still a catch word. We spell it out if we are talking to one another and not actually wanting to go on one. We walk just about every morning, it's the first thing I do. Both of my dogs start prancing around and giving me meaningful looks as soon as my feet hit the floor. Their excitement grows as I move around more. By the time I get my shoes to put them on, they are dancing about, and Sammi, the younger of my dogs, starts yapping. One thing about Tucker that I love: he's not a barker, unless he really means it. It was years before he even found his voice! He barks when the neighboring dogs are outside and running about barking themselves. Sammi, on the other hand barks at his own shadow (literally).

Tucker is very handsome... If he has passed I am so sorry! He sounds like a truly wonderful boy ;o)

I just read Kiah's bio and realized that Tucker has passed. I am so very sorry. I, too, have lost a beloved furr-baby early December (12/2/08). Your Tucker was very blessed to have you.
