How beautiful! Yeah for adoption services! I agree that having a young dog makes the older ones feel young! My family has a 13 year old and a 1 year old! The 13 year old thinks she 3, but her old body says otherwise! But young at heart keeps them around longer because they are happy! Bless you and yours!

Wow, that is a beautiful dog. So gorgeous he's left me speechless. You're both very lucky to have each other :)

Where's that squeaky toy go??
What a fun and beautiful boy! I am sorry he lost his buddy, big huggs to you all as nothing ever makes that loss easier.
Carson sounds like a blast to have as a chum. Belly and rubs from San Diego.

I am guessing that is the infamous squeaky toy...he is adorable. Thanks so much for adopting him, rescue dogs are really angels in disguise.

Carson reminds me of the shepherds i loved growing up. I am sorry for the loss of your older dog. I am sure Carson will be there for you as your best friend.

Beyond wonderful... I am speechless. Carson's story is so beautifully told by you that I think that you need to submit it to lots of periodicals, journals etc because you are a good story teller. Love is the best thing to share and you found a fountain with Carson and he with you!

I definitely see some Siberian Husky in that mix.

Carson is a gorgeous critter.

What a handsome dog! He looks so playful, but then the last picture looks like he's saying "Don't mess with my family." Good guard dog, too!

"Chewin' on my ball, chewin' on my ball…"

So cute! I'm glad he was able to bring some happiness to your older dog's final days. I hope Carson's life with you will be similarly long and joyful. :)

Carson is comforting you and you are comforting Carson in your time of sorrow. Sounds like you are going to have a very full life when he recovers completely. You're not going to get much past him. Hang on to that squeaky ball and don't lose it. Hugs and kisses.

One of my labs has the same attachment issues to a tennis ball! And a certain tennis ball, not just any one! ;)
Carson is a beautiful dog, and I wish you much happiness with him and for him. :)

Carson sounds like a wonderful companion. I hope all he ever has to do for guard duty is bark. His face mask is amazing!

Take a page from my book...if Carson really loves that squeeky ball, buy as many of them as you can then, put them away. Toys have a way of getting retired after some time, you may not see it in stores anymore. I stock piled our "perfect" ball in case we couldn't find them. Because a perfect ball is one that eventually gets torn to pieces! Now, the cupboard is bare, we can't find them in stores and we're forced to play with the ubiquitous tennis ball.

A good way to help a dog grieving the loss of the senior dog is to adopt another dog. Just thought I'd put that out there...for your consideration. I hope you all hurt less soon.

What a beautiful dog. So sorry about the passing of your older dog. Are you getting Carson a cat to keep him company?

What a beautiful dog.
Such cute expressions on his face. I bet hes a big, loyal sweetheart. : )

Love this pic because he still manages to pull off looking regal with a squeaky, purple ball in his paws. x) What a cutie.

Best wishes to you and your pretty pup. : )
