I met Dahlia on a cross-country transport from a high-kill shelter to a rescue and fell absolutely in love with her sweetness and her beauty. We adopted her in May 2008 and she's been the joy of our lives ever since. She's incredibly intelligent, affectionate, and loves her long walks and squeaky toys. When she came to us, she didn't know how to play, but in the past several months she's come out of her shell and now loves chasing after her balls and playing tug of war with her leash. This April she'll be taking the Canine Good Citizen test and from there she may become a therapy dog. She has the calm, sweet personality that is perfect for such a job.
