I always say she's more like a bear than a dog--a teddy bear, that is. I raised Fez up from a three-pound, four-week-old pup barely able to walk; today she's a five-year-old, 120-pound mutt that I couldn't live without. Every day with Fez is a pleasure. Her favorite activities include chomping pig ears, running on the shores of Lake Erie, chasing the unlucky squirrels who are brave enough to venture into her yard, and, of course, sleeping in her favorite chair by the front window. I want nothing more than to make my girl happy every day, to try to repay her for the joy she brings me. I can only hope I'm succeeding in being the best mom I can be to my Fezzy Bear.
