Can't seem to pick a fav pic - I was going to choose the first one. Anyway, just wanted to say thank you for taking on such a special dog and for giving her a wonderful life. She is a real credit to you - in beautiful condition and very attentive and bright.

She seems to be saying "there's somethin' in here, dad. just let me go see!" What an adorable dog. I hope you bring each other lots of joy for years to come.

I had a harrier/beagle cross when I was a little girl (the breeder bred hunting hounds and they think a randy harrier boy had a thing with one of their beagle gals). My dog wouldn't hunt so he was adopted out to us. He was the best dog ever!!! I hope you have many happy years with Hallie Mae -- I loved my dogs loud bark and could even get him to howl along with certain songs (my parents hated that!!). She is gorgeous and you made my day by sharing her pictures. Such sweet memories.....

I'll bet she DOES have a loud bark! But that's just part of the fun of beagles! You gotta love 'em!
And look at that beautiful smile!

sure this dog isn't a beagle? I've never heard of a harrier but if it looks like a beagle then I am a fan!

Hallie Mae is one lucky girl that you found her, I'm sure she'll pay you back in spades with the unconditional love that can always be found in a dog. Your dog.... She waited a long time for you. Kudos to her for her patience, and to you for your big heart (and acreage)!
Best of luck to all of you. I wish you much hapiness.

Well, Hallie Mae - it sure is a small world. I was born and raised in Hyde Park, NY (live in Kansas now) and on one of my last visits to see some family, I found a stray cat that I took over to the SPCA facility. The people were very nice there - that cat was very ill and needed to be seen by a vet. Turns out she had advanced breast cancer (yup), so she was euthanized. The people at the facility were very helpful and thankful that I had found her and brought her to a peaceful end.
I am very happy for you, Hallie Mae, that after a whole year at that facility, you found your forever home. Sounds like the best place in the world. You look very happy. You have a little mischief going on in this picture, don't you. Hmmmm, I wonder what you are trying to get away with? Bet you have your dad wrapped around your little paws. I'd give you 11+ biscuits if I could. Have fun and say hello to Hyde Park for me, ok? Hugs and kisses, and lots of belly rubs.

Beautiful pose. This Harrier is just terrific. You and I are both grateful that you took her with you to romp on 6 acres. Lucky both of you.:)

What a beautiful girl! Reminds me of the Walker Hounds and other deer dogs in my neck of the woods (south Arkansas).

Hallie Mae, I simply can not believe that you waited a whole year for just the right family to come for you! What a beautiful girl you are. I'm so glad that you have found such a wonderful family and six wonderful acres to roam! Never mind all that fox-hunting routine - it's too regimented and you will have a lot more fun hunting on your own property on your own time. Hugs and kisses to you, beautiful girl! :)

She may not be able to do all of those things now, but I can tell she is bringing you lots of happiness by your simply bringing her home. Thanks for making a dog so happy. :-)
