Jake's mom says: We adopted Jake about one and a half years ago from a shelter. We just couldn't believe this cutie was found roaming the streets, hungry and injured. He is very loving and the most comical dog we've ever known. We call him a clown and a show-off. Jake is very, very active -- he hardly slows down long enough to sleep! He is very sweet and when you talk to him his eyes never leave you. We believe he comes from a line of hunting dogs because his nose is always to the ground and he chases down anything that moves. We absolutely love this dog!!!

What an adorable beagle. I can imagine hes a handful if hes always on the go and barely finds time to sleep. Hes definately a cutie. Good rescue.

Awwwww, beagles are nature's cubes of sugar. So sweet and snorfable!

Beagles are sniffers, that's for sure. My beagle would do the same thing--her nose would be on the ground and she would walk around making squeaky snorking noises as she kept on whatever trail it was she was on at the time. She was pretty plump and lazy, though, so she would track things and then opt not to chase them.

Jake sounds wonderful, like beagles seem to be. Jake looks overweight, which is very hard on a beagle in its later life. Please do Jake a favor! You'll be glad you did. I know...I've had beagles all my life. Beagle owners are great people, too.
