Profile: We are a family from Ontario, Canada. We had a ten year old cockapoo named Stewie who died unexpectedly in the middle of the night. Luckily, he was surrounded by family and passed while he was being held. We also had a fourteen year old black lab named George. George had been having difficulty walking with his back legs for the past year or more, but was still wagging his tail. It wasn't until his brother died that he became secluded and his health went downhill. Just two weeks after losing Stewie suddenly, we also decided it was time to put George to sleep. It was a very peaceful experience, the vet came to our house and he passed in our backyard, laying on the deck surrounded by family. Shockingly, the process took two hours and almost four-times the dose he should have needed for his weight. He was a fighter until the end; the vet said he must have had a big heart, which still brings a tear to my eye! Just the next day, driving in our town, a house had a sign posted advertising puppies available and it had been the first day the sign was up. That is when we fell in love with Martini and scooped her up!

This is our new baby girl, Martini; we got her from a breeder in town. Her father's name is George, which is symbolic to our black lab that had passed away just the day before whose name was also George. Initially she was the shy and nervous one of the litter. Almost as soon as we got her home she became a little dare devil and trouble maker. She pulls on the shower curtain, chews on anything and everything, prances and pounces in the yard, and chases her tail. After just a short time of play she is ready for a nap. And so are her owners! She is definitely a handful but it is worth every minute.View Profile
