Profile: I live in Northern Ontario with my husband, 4 dogs, Radar (aussie), Penny (yorkshire Terrier), Kona (my Service Dog Labrador Ret) and Beacon a visually impaired Landseer Newfoundland Orphan that Kona Nursed and raised. We also have chickens and Pheasants which Kona also adopted and at any given time there could be rescue foster dogs and training clients living with us as well We live in wonderful place to raise dogs with a Lake in our front yard and 150 acres of wooded trails as out back yard it is an ideal setting for dogs esp those loving the water. I am an animal behaviorist, I also have MS and Epilepsy and MDS, Kona is my right hand pup but Beacon is also learning SD skills even though she is visually impaired, she also attends hospital with me and on visits. Radar works with me as a pet therapist with dogs who are reactive or fearful as he is a calm, steady, nonreactive dog even if one is aggressive and in his face, he remains calm and confident...he has helped many a dog over come inter canine fear aggression or fear /shyness of canines...he seems to read what dog needs of him if they are fearful he lays down and lets them come to him always showing them he is no threat. Even with my health issues life is great with a family like mine!

I am a service dog, I was certified and graduated on August 10 2011. I can do the laundry, open and close doors, get money from an ATM cash machine, get items from the fridge or cupboard, pay for items when shopping, flush the toilet, pick up items that are dropped, turn on and off lights, push automatic door and elevator buttons, alert to seizures, get the phone, call 911, take off shoes, socks and gloves... I have a 4 PAWS up Charity which raises money and awareness for cancer causes. I have a facebook following under Kona Kronicles the Making of a Service dog. I have buttons with my face on them and wrist bands I have adopted and fostered including nursed a feral orphaned kitten and an orphaned visually impaired Newfoundland puppy. I have also adopted 5 Pheasant chicks and a bunch of baby chickens, I even began lactating to nurse them though I had not had puppies of my own. I live on a lake with 150 acres of wooded trails as my backyard, I love to swim, chew my bone, play ball and I LOVE to visit the oncology department with my mom. When I go there I wear pink sunglasses which indicate to me that I can be patted and visit while working....I love love love people especially children, elderly and people who needs nurturing. I am a Natural Nurturer if something needs to be loved I am on it. I saved my human momma's life, she had a seizure and had fallen from her wheel chair and I got her help...View Profile
