Peanut is a pure bred apricot Toy Poodle. Dad was an apricot, mum was a cream. Some came out white, some cream, and Peanut was the darkest in the litter. He is bright, reckless and quite determined, but he is also a fast learner. He has a habit of jumping off things, I don't think he can judge height very well yet. It is alarming. EDIT Thanks for all the lovely comments, and there is some news. Peanut is a dad!
View ProfilePoppy is a black pure breed Toy Poodle. Mum was chocolate, dad was black, but she shows no hint of brown in her coat. We did think she was going brown at first, but then I washed her. She is very loving and cuddly, and always wants to be in the middle of everything. We got her as a companion for our Maltese Poodle cross, a rescue dog called Sasha, who was 11 then. She is a big toy Poodle, 14 inches at the shoulder, well above breed standard. EDIT Thanks for all the lovely comments, and some news. Poppy is to be a mum! More pups soon
View ProfileBully is one of three pups born to Peanut and Poppy, so called as he looks like a little bull! He went to a lovely home with friends and was renamed Luna. I miss him terribly, nothing seems right without him and I wish like damn I had never agreed to give him away, but I guess keeping all 3 pups would have been too much.
View ProfilePiglet was the first born puppy from Peanut and Poppy. He is a purebred pedigree Toy Poodle. He was named within 20 seconds of being born, as he was so determined to get some milk. "Look at the little piglet!" I said, and that was that. He totally lives up to his name, and eats everything he is given. Despite being the first born, and the second largest at birth, he is now the smallest of the litter.
View ProfileApollo was the last to be born, and he was the only difficult one. He was the only one who needed a little help to be born, he was the smallest and he had the weakest heartbeat. When he was born he had difficulty breathing and I had to clear his airway several times before he eventually started breathing on his own. It was all quite stressfull, especially as by this time it was around 5am and we had been awake the whole night. All was well though, and now he is the biggest and strongest of the three pups. He is also the most calm.
