Add to FriendsWe adopted Mikey on 12-3-09 from a local non-euthanasia shelter. He was only 6 weeks old. He is part Boxer, part Chow and part Golden Retriever. He had been abandoned by his mother at birth or shortly after. When I saw that face, I fell in love! From the day we've had him, he's been a joy! I can't imagine life without him. Every day he looks at me as if to say thank you for giving me a home.
View ProfileWe adopted Jesse on 1-16-10. He's a Pit Bull mix. I have been his "foster mom" for a few weeks prior to adopting him. When it came time to take the other puppies back that I was fostering, I just couldn't return him. He was so shy and skiddish. He was afraid of everything. He didn't walk correctly or play like a normal puppy. Shortly after I found out that he had a torn ACL in his back right knee and possibly one in his left knee. This is so rare in a puppy his age (now 12 weeks old). I knew that he would always need "special care" and that I was always meant to be his forever home. Everyone keep Jesse in your prayers. For now, they just have him on pain medicine b/c of his tender age.
