Nina is an adorable 2 year old Shih Tzu that even when she was just 1kg and 100 g (2,4 lbs) already showed what she was all about. She was in the middle of other dogs, mostly male yorkies (she was left behind because she was so small people thought she wouldn't make it) and when they'd come on to her, she attacked them with her growling and jumping. Now, her lhasa brother gets all of that "fury" when they're fighting for bones she always ends up getting. Too cute not to love. She enjoys the outside, but doesn't miss it if she has to stay inside. Loves to play with different kinds of toys and goes crazy when you show her a new one. She is now 4kgs and 4 grs (9,7 lbs) and everybody asks if she's still a puppy. In behavior, I think she'll always be. She's very affectionate, loves to sit very close to us or even on our shoulders when we're on the sofa. She loves her brother Peepow very much, ever since they first met and he was my mother's dog, and gets antsy when he's not around her. She takes a while to let you approach her if she doesn't know you and never gets quite as "given" as she is with us, but will always treat you nicely once she knows you. An adorable and cute little dog that everybody falls in love with at first sight.

Peepow is a (almost) 3 years old lhasa apso that used to belong to my mom, until she passed away in September 2008. She was her happiness on the last year of her life and then he came to live with me (and now also my husband) and his little sister Nina (shih tzu) and is also a happiness to us. He loves all things comfortable like beds and comforters and little doggie blankets and doesn't really care much for toys. He has his favorite sofa where we set up all his favorite things and that's where you'll find him most of the time. Sometimes, he'll come to sit on our laps when he needs some smooches and leave when he feels like. He doesn't really feel comfortable if you pick him up and hug him for too long. But we know he is at his most happiness when he is out in the nature and can have a good run and come back at you. You can truly feel he is smiling with joy. We live in an apartment and there aren't safe places around here, so we love it whenever we can do this for him. He is a little bit insecure and literally jumps if you just as much as touch his tail when he's not aware and is just a little scared in general. He likes to protect the house from his sofa and tends to bark when he hears strangers in the hallway, which we don't let him do, of course. He is absolutely in love with his little sister Nina and always lets her win everything (bones, toys, place on the sofa), except for food, which they tend to alternate who will eat first. They almost never eat at the same time, unless it's wet food or fruit, which both love. He loves kids (unlike his sister) and tends to be nice to strangers who want to pet him. When he looks at you, it is as though he is speaking and his eyes are very warm. Since his sister is more cutesy at first site, it's the ones who get to know him that grow to love him and then never let go.
