I adopted Nina on July 4th 2010. The rescue estimated her age to be 6-8 months and her mix as German Shepherd and Golden Retriever. My vet thinks GSD and Great Pyrenees instead. She is a big love bug and quite calm, people are always surpsrised to hear how young she is. She is very friendly but her instincts definitely run toward guard dog- she HAS to let me know what's going on! She is a wonderful companion and I can't imagine her not in my life.
