Profile: I am the proud Mommy of three "senior citizen" dogs. Branna, Kassi & Nabu are the lights of my husband's and my life. I love them to bits, and they make every day a joyful one. I have had dogs all of my life and I simply love them. I have worked extensively with animal rescue organizations, and tend to take in strays until I can find their parents, or a good home. It breaks my heart when a dog is neglected, or abused. I love spending time with my kids outdoors playing fetch, catch-me-if-you-can, or walking then along the Danube with my husband. There is nothing better in life than a happy dog!

Kassi is a very mellow (most times) 9 year old Basset Hound/fence jumper mix. Her philosphy on life is "Why stand when", you can sit, and why sit, when you can lay down?" She's a gentle girl with a very funny side to her when she eats a "hyper bug", and spazzes out. Also, she snores like an off-board motor when she sleeps.View Profile
Branna is my old girl, at 11 years of age, though you'd never guess it, as she acts like she's 2 years old. She is a Belgian Groenedale/Black Lab mix, and is the smallest from her litter weighing a whopping 27 lbs! She answers to Frog, more than she does to Branna due to the fact that I started calling her frog as a puppy when she started bouncing (and hasn't stopped hopping). She is a true wild dog! Branna has boundless energy, and there is nothing she enjoys more than running amok, hopping, playing ball, or chewing on her rope bones. She is seriously attached to her Mommy, and tends not to take her Dad too seriously... When Dad tells her to do something, she'll look at me like "Do I have to listen to him?", and I tell her to do whatever it is that her Dad wants, and she does it. She's a very smart girl, and a very sneaky one as well.View Profile
Nabu is the baby of the family, at 8 years old. He's a Pointer/Beagle mix, though the only thing he gets from the Beagle side is his bark - it's hysterically funny when he barks! :o) Nabu is a rescue dog, and I brought him home from a high-kill shelter at the age of four months. Nabu had been abused and terribly neglected before he came home with me. It took him two weeks to come out from hiding under the bed. I worked extensively with him to trust me, and his sisters (and then his Dad, when he came along 5 years ago). These says he is still a bit insecure, but mostly he is a happy-go-lucky boy that loves to torment his older sisters. We are very lucky to have Nabu in our lives.View Profile
