Puppy: No Puppies
Profile: I have recently lost my dog, my best friend. He was taken too soon and my grief is huge. I am looking for another dog just like him. The best I can tell from his characteristics is he was a mix from a brown lab retriever (he had a brown nose streak) and he was 96 lbs just before he turned 2 and was lost to me. He always had to have something in his mouth. He also must have been part husky and probably it was a black/white husky. But his look was lab, his ears lab, his face lab. He was 5 different colors. I can provide pics of him at about 8 weeks, 4-5 months, 1 year and 2 years. As a pup the dark part of his coat over his head and back was very dark brown and would change to a reddish gold tone when brushed backwards. As he aged, the two tone was more obvious, but lightened to more tan. I belonged to him and he was so well behaved and attentive, but obviously would put himself between me and other dogs or people and be ready to defend, but not very agreesively. He began lifting his front paw and holding it up at chest level whenever he saw something he wanted. We began identifying it with him 'asking'. He had a white tipped tail. Some people think his mix was lab/shepherd, but his 6 siblings were variations of brown, black and white, brown and white with blue eyes. He was there to help me through the loss of my horse just 2 months ago. He was a gem that is lost to me forever. I can only hope to find one with similar characteristics and look to become my new 'Yogi'. I will try to put pics up soon and if anyone has a dog that fits the description, please contact me. I am crying just trying to write this. Thank you for reading this. I hope you have just one love like this in your life and that you don't lose it.
