Profile: Hi my Name is Emily. My first dog was a mixed dog named Tex. Im unsure of what type of breeds he was mixed with because I adopted him from a shelter. The shelter said he was probably some mix of a Maltese Shih-Tzu x Pomeranian x Yorkshire terrier. Although to me it didn't matter what mix he was because I loved him from the moment I saw him. He was five years old when I adopted him and he sadly passed away at the age of 13 after he spent 8 years with me. However after 2 months of losing my beloved darling Tex I knew that a new dog was out there wanting a new home. I found a lady who had rescued a dog who recently had puppies. I took a look at the puppies one by one but the one that caught my eye was an adventurous one that kept coming towards me when I put him down. He had half a pink nose and a little perfect round tan spot on his left side of his back. His little Tan head cocked to one side and sat in front of me. I couldn't resist he was an absolute doll! So I took him home with me on Christmas eve. I decided to name him Harley Davidson. He was my little Christmas delight! Harley brings me so much Joy and fun but there is always a little hole in my heart in which Tex still remains. I will always remember my first dog Tex and I am glad I have Harley now to give me as much joy as Tex did. Dogs are the most amazing creatures; they give unconditional love. I believe that you are not given the dog you want but the dog that you need. They are little miracles with Paws and to me they are like a heartbeat at my feet.
