In Loving MemoryIn Loving Memory

Toby is our old man in the family. We had to guess on his birthday because we adopted him from the Humane Society. They said he was 4 years old when we adopted him in 1996 so if they were correct then he would be coming on 17 now. He's an old guy that makes a lot of grumpy old man noises but still loves to chase a tennis ball just like a young pup. When I first added his profile I made a mistake and checked adoptable. Toby will always be our boy. He's not going anywhere. We love him too much. 2/29/12 We had to say goodbye to our beloved Toby yesterday. He was with us a long time and it was an incredible hard thing for us. Toby brought us many years of joy and happiness and we can only hope that we did the same for him. He is truly missed. Rest in peace dear Toby. You will always live and run and chase that ball in our hearts and mind.

Abbott is our trouble maker in the family. He's the one that will get the others all worked up and into mischief. He'll instigate the rowdy play time. He'll eat anything that's left unattended. It's amazing how a little wiener dog can get up onto a table. He always tries to steal the other guys treats if given the chance. Abbott is a cocky, stubborn little hotdog but he is also very loving and adorable. He loves to snuggle next to people. We love him.

Jack is our special little dog. He has a bit of a handicap with his hind legs. Don't feel sorry for him though. He most definitely doesn't feel sorry for himself. He has no problem running around the yard chasing and playing with our 2 other dogs. Sure, sometimes his hind legs start to run sideways and he'll roll and flip over, but he gets right back up and starts running again. Jack is actually short for Jackknife like when a big semi "jackknifes". We got jack from a pet shop. Nobody wanted him because of his handicap and the pet shop owners where just looking for a good home for him. Once we held him in our arms it was all over. Not sure where the words came from, but "we'll take him" somehow came out. Our veterinarian checked him out and said he's not in any pain and as long as he's happy just let him be. Even though he has that little handicap, he's quite a tough little guy. Jack is an inspiration to us all.
