Add to FriendsAmy is a Cavachon, which is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel/Bichon Frise cross. Amy has the sweet nature of both dogs. She can be a little shy when meeting people, but loves it when they do give her attention. She loves to do agility and has taken 3 levels of classes. But her most favorite thing is to have her tummy rubbed. She is happy to go out for walks, but just like her human parents, just loves to lie around the house. Her favorite treats are pieces of hot dogs, and all she has to hear is "Amy do you want a hot dog treat?", and she will come running.
View ProfileSophia Melody Petteway is full of fun and lively energy. She loves to be outside exploring. Everything she sees is a discovery and an adventure. We are so happy to share in all the fun!
View ProfileAri is a 2 month old Alaskan Malamute that lives in Portland, Oregon. This little ball of fur enjoys any activity, but his favorites are playing fetch, going on walks, and chewing on pretty much anything. He will run into the laundry room, grab a sock or towel and try and sneak it back out and hide it under the bed for later playtime. His absolute best friend in the world is Cooper, our 6-year old Golden Retriever. Ari follows Cooper EVERYWHERE around the house and outside and is constantly begging Cooper for more playtime (which is never enough for Ari). Cooper has taken the role of big-brother to Ari and they will be best friends for years to come. He's the best!
View ProfileWinnie is a 7 year old Golden Retriever. We found Winnie 5 years ago when my dad got a phone call from one of his patients (he's a family practitioner) telling him that they have a dog that we might be interested in. We weren't looking for a dog at the time, since we already had two, but we decided to go out of curiousity. When we arrived, she told us that a couple of teenagers dropped Winnie off, saying that they were saving her from their dad who was going to shoot her. Winnie was almost 2 years old at the time. Now, Winnie is loving every minute of life. She loves exploring our grove with our black lab, Jack and our poodle mix, Gracie. She also absolutely adores water and baths. Winnie is the sweetest dog I've met so far, and she will be your best friend if you give her a belly rub. She is a little dog in a big dog's body, she thinks that she is still able to fit on my lap, even though she is 85 lbs! I thank the teenagers that saved her from getting shot, and giving us the sweetest girl.
View ProfileWe've adopted Gijsje from a shelter when he was about 4 months old. The little puppy was a bit shy but very friendly and we fell in love with him right away. So far he's been the most wonderful puppy one could wish for. He's sweet, playful and intelligent. His favorite thing in the whole world would be food and he will do anything for it. He also has a best pall, a kitten named Gucci who's about his age, they can play for hours, chasing each other or just wrestling over a toy. They are an odd but cute couple. Gijsje also loves to go for walks in the forest with us, his big sister, a great dane, and his other sister a lasaopsa. And like most dogs he loves to plunge into any pile of mud he can find. He's incredibly lovable and will lick your whole face when given a chance. We love him so much and I wouldnât know what to do without him anymore.
View ProfileGriffey is a 3.5 year old Cardigan Welsh Corgi. He was given to me as a housewarming gift the day we moved into our first home. He can be playful and silly, and also very serious and introspective. We call him the Emo-dog. He is beautiful, smart and willing to do anything. He behaves in whatever situation we put him in. He loves to go out to dinner with us at a local restaurant, and gnaw on a bone (provided by the owner) while we sit on the patio. He is my baby and I adore him.
View ProfileCooper became part of our family in 2006 when he was 6 years old. His previous loving family could not keep him any longer so we took him in. Despite his age, Coop is full of spunk, loves to run and never tires of chasing tennis balls. The colder the weather, the more energy he gets which there is a fair bit of in Denver, Colorado. Cooper is incredibility intelligent. It is amazing and entertaining to watch him figure things out. He is a very happy dog and loves everyone especially those who will play with him. Cooper is a very obedient and is a great off-leash dog. However, he did train us to let him cuddle on the couch after dinner and has become a bed hog. He loves to go for dog rides in the car and sits in the front seat so he can assist in the driving. Cooper's adorable personality has converted me from a cat person to a dog person.
View ProfileLola is a 4 year old Boxer who lives in Southern California. One of Lola's favorite things to do is run on the beach which she does regularly. She is easy going and is friend to everyone. Playing with other dogs, especially little dogs, is a favorite past time of hers. She will get down low on the ground when she plays with little dogs or puppies so she is at their height. She is very gentle with kids and babies too. She enjoys smelling flowers and sleeping in the sunshine. She is a major snuggle bug and likes to sleep on fuzzy blankets and in front of the fireplace. She loves to travel and has been from Baja Mexico to Northern California. She greets everyone with a smile and is a popular sight at the local coffee shop and at the beach where she hangs out with her family. She enjoys having her picture taken and will head in the direction the camera is pointing.
View ProfileMy name is Hana. My Mommy and Daddy saved me and named me after a pretty word in Japanese that means 'flower." Many people try to call me Hannah, but I am actually "Hah-nuh." I lived at a rescue with my doggie mom, Cocoa. My caretaker, Anita, believes Cocoa was a border collie-but says she may have a little Australian shepherd in her too. My doggie dad was a golden retriever, but I am unsure where he is. I came from Xenia, Ohio and was brought to Columbus when I was just 7 weeks old. I love my life now. My favorite thing to do is drive my mom and dad crazy chasing the cats and playing with my squeaky toys and rope. When I get a little bit older I am gonna learn how to go hiking and backpacking with my parents! I am also gonna learn to be a good swimmer and take agility classes too! I am very happy my mommy and daddy saved me and I now have a happy home!
View ProfileThis is our beloved Dyna. She is a retired breeding dog and is about the gentlest dog that I have ever met. We initially thought about adopting a puppy but we did not have the time to raise a little one. We started calling around to see if anyone had any adult dogs available and we found her breeder, a great lady who had held onto DYna even though she was not breeding her anymore because she was so gentle. She adapted very well to life in our house after living 5 years in a kennel. She made friends quickly with the cats. She loves her dog bed and the couch were she likes to arrange pillows and blankets before falling asleep. She snores fairly loudly, so she stays in the living room at night. She loves going for walks in the woods and "gallumpfing" through the snow after us when we are cross-country skiing.
View ProfileMaddie was introduced to our family on Thanksgiving Day at a tiny age of 7 weeks old. We felt that our other beagle, Bailey, was need of a companion. Bailey has proven to be a wonderful big brother. He even shares his breakfast with Maddie, even though they are supposed to be on different diets. Maddie has turned our world upside-down with her tornado of energy and puppy kisses! She has become Baileyâs shadow and loves to follow everything he does, even if she is not sure why. Her latest talent is barking at nothing just because she has seen Bailey bark. Maddie is a very content little girl who loves to play with her squeaker toys and âhelpâ mommy in the garden. Maddie has filled all of our lives with more joy than we could have ever imagined. She is such a compassionate little girl with enough energy to keep anyoneâs spirit alive! Maddie has completed our little Beagle family.
View ProfileHe lives in Norway, Maine. He is a lover boy. Kind, friendly and a girl's best friend. He loves to swim, walk, run, and lay on the couch with his mom and dad.
View ProfileHey people!! I'm Lily! I really love my owner and I love jumping up on people to greet them! Sorry if I scratch you! (I'll lick it, don't worry!) I'm really happy right now 'cause it's gonna be my birthday soon!! YAY! If you're a stranger, be wary around me until I really know you. I am here to protect my loving owner! I'm going to be two soon! I was born in a kennel with my two sisters! One of them didn't like me and got in a fight with me! Oops! Now I have a teeny spot on my head. (She took some fur. OUCH!) I loved my owner when I first saw her! One day she took me home and here I am!! :) (Yes, I can type! I'm a very smart doggy. Trust me...)
View ProfileCoco is a mischievous little scamp who is always digging, chewing and barking. She loves tossing cushions off chairs and messing up beds. Her favourite pastime is running growling through the house after a bath.
View ProfileShe is wonderful with children and all people. She loves to play with dogs but is also very happy just observing the life at the local rock pool. Every morning we go to Curl Curl Beach, which is on a peninsula of beautiful beaches a few miles north of Sydney, Australia. The beach has a dedicated dog park running along it and she meets all her friends, has a run and will often do the whole run with a tenis ball in her mouth. She is obsessed with tennis balls, they are her favourite toy! After the run, we go to the local rock pool at the southern end of the beach and she patiently waited under one of the benches while I go for a beach run and then do laps in the pool. What a life she has! When mum goes off to work, Lexie gets dropped off to Doggy Day Care and spends most days there playing and sleeping. She has become the mascot at Scoobydooz, the Doggy Day Care centre, as each afternoon she is allowed to wait on the reception desk where she waits for mum and greets all the dog owners as they come by to pick up their puppies. What a Girl!
View ProfileSam is a really cool two month Bernese Mountain dog. As we say here, heâs a carpet. His joy is incredible and he love is older "brother". He is extremely affectionnate and joyful but also cuddly and he loves to sleep on everybodyâs knee.
View Profileit was love at first sight for me. I never had a dog before and the moment I saw that beautiful face with those big brown eyes, it was all over, I just had to have him.
View ProfileMax is a sweet, playful dog who constantly demonstrates affection for his people. In addition to his craving for human attention, his trademark features include big floppy ears, super-soft fur, and delightful star quality. For years, he loved to play fetch and catch balls in the air (stubbornly refusing to stop playing), found a way to grab whatever tissue or napkin was lying around, and insisted on being the center of all social activity in his house. Now thirteen, Max has calmed down a great deal, but you can still catch him sleeping upside-down with his legs splayed out or running nose-first into a carpet and then rolling around snorting in order to say hello to a room. Our older Lab, Huntley, passed away very recently, and we miss seeing Max licking her ears and finishing her water. Although he sleeps more nowadays and we avoid encouraging physical activity since he tends to get huffy and out of breath, our boy Max is still a thrill, with his genuine adoration for family members and comfy beds. It's impossible to leave a room without Max following you; it's almost equally impossible to type on a laptop without finding a soft, wrinkly head squeezing its way underneath your wrist.
View ProfileWinston is the newest addition to our family. When we went to look at a litter of Mini Schnauzers for sale, we initially were planning on getting a female. When we met the litter all of the other puppies were salt and pepper coloured, and then the little white male walked out. We were instantly in love and came home with him instead. Winston has his natural, unclipped ears and an undocked tail. He loves playing with his older brother; our 5 year old Border Collie/Brittany Spaniel named Oliver. Winston enjoys hoarding all of the toys in the house and stockpiling them in his bed to play keep-away from Oliver.
View ProfileJackie has been with us for about a month now and she's the joy of our family. We found this pretty puppy by sheer luck on an internet trading site. She's a very lively and social little girl who loves children, other grownups and other dogs. She loves playing with her toys as well as all sorts of things she's not supposed to be playing with, such as shoes, pieces of clothing and our little girl's toys. She knows no fear towards big dogs until they bark at her which is when she'll come running back to mommy.
View ProfileOtis is a ten week old Old English Sheepdog who loves to go on walks in the neighborhood and play at the park. His favorite toys are his stuffed duck and his soccer ball. He is very energetic and practically grows in front of our eyes. Some days it seems as if all he wants to do is sleep because he's growing so fast. Everyday he looks forward to his long walks through the neighborhood to see all of his pals along the way. He also loves to jump in all the bushes we pass on his walks. The local coffee shop has an eager crowd that waits for him as we pass everyday and he's never shy to go up to everyone there. He is very rambunctious and chases us all around the park and in our home as well. Otis loves to follow us wherever we go but he's never afraid of anything. He's brought so much fun and happiness into our lives, we wouldn't trade him for the world!
View ProfileHe is a blue merle mini aussie and very energetic. He loves to play with toys, especially squeekie toys. Nemo is the baby brother to a 9yr old golden and a 12 yr old lab that he LITERALLY runs circles around in the yard trying to herd them. Nemo is very lovable and sticks to you like velcro. He doesnt know how little he is and is always getting into trouble! Nemo is very sweet even when he is being a sassy puppy. Watch out when you sit on the couch coz he will run at lightening speed and jump on your lap for a snuggle and a kiss.
View ProfileWe got Cassie (the puppy) from a kennel for my birthday when she was 12 weeks old, she's got the nicest temperment, all sweet and cuddly. She eats pretty much any thing but isn't a big fan dog food. We tried to make her sleep in the dog bed but now she sleeps with me. She prefers people and horses to dogs for some reason and is very humanised. We hope to train her to be a therapy pet in the future.
View ProfileDudley Phillip, also called "Duddle the Puddle," is a rescue from the St. Louis Senior Dog Project. From the very first day he hit it off with his new big brother, Marvin, a two-year-old border collie mix. After their morning walk, the boys spend most of their day wrestling, napping, or chewing on each others' tails and toys. Dudley is especially fond of sticks, leaves, and acorns, and can down a bowl of food in the blink of an eye. He already knows how to sit, come, and is perfecting the art of walking on a leash. With two such fabulous pups, we're beginning to think our life skill is providing a home for the cutest canines on the planet.
View ProfileMontgomery, mostly called Monty, is a 3-year-old Dogue de Bordeaux. He lives i Norway, where he was born in a litter of six puppies. Monty enjoys cheese, sleeping, snoring, taking (fairly short) walks as well as begging for food by the dinner table. He's not fond of big black dogs, swimming or having his filthy ears cleaned. As you can see, Monty is very photogenic. Owner: Karl Erik Brøndbo
