Fozzie the Leonberger

Fozzie is an amazing addition to our family. When we first met him, he came bounding out of the door to meet us and showered us with lots of kisses! We've been in love with him ever since. He is so friendly that he has to meet everyone we see on our walks. He plays with all his doggy friends at the dog park, especially a Golden Retriever named Charlie and a Newfoundland dog named India. He loves going on hikes, playing in the snow, and going to puppy class. Not only is he handsome, he is also brilliant! He has already passed puppy kindergarten and grade 1. We hope to certify him as a therapy dog in the future and try agility. One of the best things about life with Fozzie is when he wakes us up in the morning with his big Leo "rooooaaaaar"!

Baby Fozzie is beautiful! I've never heard of Leonbergers before. Fozzie's a fine one, for sure. Lots of hugs and kisses for this friendly boy, he'll make the perfect therapy dog!

I have never heard of a leonberger before but he is beautiful. How did you ever get this shot with him sitting and his ears flying? Fozzie will make a good therapy dog. He sounds like he is as smart as he is pretty. A good alarm clock, too. You can't beat that!

Oooooooooooooh, Fozzie!!! He is superb! I am not familiar with this breed and wonder how big they usually get? He looks like he'll be quite big - must be to keep up with his Newfie pal at the park! I think he's going to make a fantastic therapy dog. Who could not feel better just looking at that precious face? He's too cute!
Leons are little known dogs but i have been lucky to meet a few.They grow to St Bernard size and make great family pets. Good luck with Fozzie, he is gorgeous.
i had never heard of them either until i rescued a huge dog from the pound and looked on the net to see what he may be. it was between a leons and a caucasian ovcharka. i wrote to breeders of both and they answered me immediately. my KHAN was not a leon, but an ovcharka. but since then i met one at the dog park, and he was so regal. paula

I almost got a Leonburger myself years ago but fate intervened and I got my Puppy. Laid back, sweet dogs, big dogs and Fozzie (great name for a male Leonburger) is too adorable! He is going to grow up to be one handsome guy! What a blessing...

Fozzie is so precious! Years ago my daughter took a class for show ring handlers, and one of the other students had a Leon. He wasn't quite full grown, but he was big, and friendly, and would have been a lap dog with the slightest encouragement. They are a wonderful breed, good choice!

My sister and her family has Leonberger/St. Bernard mix and he is such a great dog! They adopted him from a prison rescue program in Ohio. He is so much larger than my too little Bichons, but he is a great addition to our family. I hope you enjoy years of fun with your new baby!

Very cute pup. I had never heard of them until one showed up at our dog park in WI.with his pal, a mini dachshund They make quite a pair. Then another one showed up as well. They are huge and give our male Saint someone to look him right in the eye. They are about as graceful as a Saint, and that ain't saying much. But neither realizes they're so big They are truly gentle giants.

I HAVE seen many Leonbergers at dog shows especialy in Canada. They are Big gentle beautys. It's nice to see the little one,really cute.We have at least one Leonberger in our small village[this is a very doggie place].He comes by my house on his daily walks.
