
Jake's is officially called an Alaskan Klee Kai which was derived from Alaskan Athabaskan words meaning "small dog". His breed (a mix between a Siberian Husky and a Schipperke) is relatively new, having originated in the early 1970's. Jake lives with us in Chicago and he absolutely loves the snow. We can legitimately say he has a "snow nose" since we can't keep him out of it! He's an integral part of our family and we can't even remember what life was like before him.
